Great food, though slightly overpriced for the portions and service. Tries to push itself off as "fine dining" but it's really a mid-fare dining establishment with mid-fare menu items. Can get the same meal elsewhere (Flat Top Grill, for instance) for much cheaper and with the same quality of service. Visit if you want to spend more money then it's worth, and you like the atmosphere.

Big bowl serves up "pan-Asian cuisine" in a very franchise kind of way. As an Asian that LOVES Asian food, I would classify Big Bowl as Asian-like food cooked in a pan (American 'pan-Asian'). The flavor profile of ingredients used are similar to what you might find in your very American grocer's 'ethnic' aisle. If limited to these ingredients, they manage to cook up some decent re-creations of authentic Asian food. Would any dish here lead me believe that I were in Chinatown or some authentic Asian restaurant? Absolutely not. Does that mean I hate this place? Absolutely not. The waitstaff is always very friendly and super accommodating to requests to add / remove ingredients from orders. They also have some pretty tasty cocktails / drinks. If in the area and I need a spot for a casual lunch that will fill my belly, I can count on Big Bowl.

Exceeded expectations. The make your own noodle was really good! And the atmosphere was nice too.

Cool location right in the heart of everything. Food and service are both solid. I usually get the Beef & Broccoli, which is a good-sized portion and a very classic dish. The last time I visited, I did the "Chef's Choice" create-your-own stir-fry where you pick the sauce and type of protein that you wanted and the chef picks the veggies. It was excellent. The decor is very Pan-Asian inspired, too.

Tons of different Asian food choices. If you like Asian food this is an inexpensive option that is quick and simple. It seems a bit corporate, but it offers fresh stir-fry, and clean atmosphere. It's honestly perfect after spending all day in the loop. I definitely prefer this place to some of the other chain asian food restaurants, and I would go again. It won't knock your socks off, so don't go into it anticipating to be wowed by some crazy chef.

I have had great experiences at big bowl which keep me coming back. The appetizers are decent portions if you want to share something with friends before your meal comes. And then the dishes are great and will definitely fill you up. Everything is favorful and comes out hot (as youd expect). My favorites are the spare ribs for the appetizer and the Mongolian beef.
