"Our thoughts go out to everyone on the East Coast waiting for Hurricane Irene. In Washington, D.C., thousands of people have been left without power. They’re called Democrats."

Some images elicit emotion. Advertisers capitalize on this concept. What does this structure say to you? It scares the bejeavers out of me.

This is a ceiling hoist designed by a childhood friend of mine who has ALS and hasn't spoken a word for over ten years.
He communicates via electronic mouse operated device.
He used a $20 aluminum beam from the local welding company.
A $59 electric hoist from Harbor Freight.
And a trolley roller for $129. He has a new design which improves the movement with roller blade wheels.
The medical supply lift version was priced at $12,000.
He says, "For all my friends with ALS this Do It Yourself ceiling lift in my bedroom beats a Hoyer Lift any day! ~"
So, what have you done today.
I know I haven't done enough.

Call it Hazing to make it flashy if you want. It is old fashioned bullying. I, and every other teacher out there, fight this on a daily basis.

Would you care to help me experiment with the presentation possibilities on + ?
Here is a link to segment a I contributed to a presentation on Futuring.
Can you access it?
Do you have thoughts on the content?
You will need speakers for the voice over.

+Joseph Jude Thank you for the feed back. These 4 slides are my contribution to a presentation on Futuring. Did the audio voice over function?

If you have someone in your circle that doesn't have you in theirs does that create a false sense of connection? Is it really just following someone? Is it simply another fan vehicle? I'm giving thought to removing people from my circles that don't have me in theirs. I think + should be for interaction. What do you think?

You are making a great point and raising a great question at the same time. I don't have you in my circles (not that I wouldn't have) you don't seem to have me in yours. So, how is it you find my tiny stream in this giant torrent?

Papa Joe's is an outstanding family dining experience. I have travel the U.S. and Europe. This is not the Americanized pseudo italiano stuff you settle for in places like New York. This is rustic Italian at its best. What fool complains there is too much pasta? The clams and linguini are amazing. Again, this is not chey boyardi. So, if you think Italian food should taste like tomato sauce this place isn't for you.

Solid build. Very basic amenities . Air conditioning very old. Inside unit flooded twice in 10 months. Outside unit completely failed. You get what you pay for.
