Honor our veterans!
#veterans   #army
Today, in 1775, the Continental Congress authorized one chaplain for each regiment of the Continental Army, and thus gave birth to the Chaplains' Corps. Since then, chaplains have served in every American War, standing by the sides of Soldiers as they fight, kill and die for our country. Today, Chief of Chaplains Maj. Gen. Donald Rutherford and the Chaplains' Corps Sergeant Major, Sgt. Maj. Stephen Stott, laid a wreath at the Chaplains' Memorials in Arlington National Cemetery, and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in honor of the service of all the chaplains that have served in the U.S. military. Good Charity Inc | Important Issues Facing American Veterans

Today, US military veterans are one of the largest and most important interest groups in the American polity.  Nearly one third of the US population is eligible for some form of veteran’s benefits. Despite this, major issues, such as homelessness and negative health outcomes, plague America’s military veteran population. To understand this complex state of affairs, Good Charity, Inc. has prepared an historical overview and analysis of how U.S. Veterans have been serviced by the government and the current issues impacting them.
