£12.35 - Windows 3.1 version installation disks + DIXONS Case

That's about 1,235 times more than I'd pay for Windows 8, 8.1 or probably Windows 10.

Germany's going forward whilst the UK is going backwards. Well played UK government... specifically English MPs.

So the next version of Windows is going to be called Windows 10?

Go home Microsoft - you're drunk. It's bad enough that Windows XP is version 5 and Windows Vista, 7 and 8 are version 6.

I said more or less the same thing to someone yesterday when thy sent me an Office 2010 file with complex formatting (Word had been used as a desktop publisher) and it was garbled in Libre Office.

*.docx has been an absolute nightmare from the day it was launched

When just one member of One Direction can do this, then I promise to buy at least one of their pieces of merchandised crap that's cluttering up my local Poundworld.

I have an ex who adored (adores?) Freddie Mercury. I never really got it at the time but I can totally understand it now.

At the very least it seems unwise to buy American electronics anymore.

Physical buttons!  Kids of the future will probably think our phones had levers and dials and needed winding up too.

I don't smoke the stuff, it doesn't interest me at all... but this is ridiculous. Jeff Mizanskey has been in prison for almost 21 years for selling some cannabis.

I've heard a lot of criticism about the US "justice system" and how it's engineered to generate profits for the privatised prisons system and its owners and shareholders.

When stories like this come about I really believe that criticism to be true. The "three strikes and you're out" policy of some states is such a barbaric oversimplification of justice, underlined by the very fact that some people are sentenced to life for cannabis related offences or for a homeless man stealing a pizza to feed himself [*source below].

I hope that the country can reform its system, but with money at stake from keeping people in prison it may be a long time before it happens; after all this is a country that still uses the death penalty and executes its citizens in cruel ways which can take upwards of 30 mins for the poor soul to die.

Unsure who to vote for? This seems like a fairly balanced analysis of the European Elections unless you actually believe that LibLabCon are 3 separate parties and then you might think it's biased!
I've thought long and hard about whether I should actively endorse one particular political party for the European elections on May 22nd, rather than just campaigning against the establishment political parties that adhere to the bankrupt ideology of neoliberalism.

About 400 elite mercenaries from the notorious US private security firm Academi (formerly Blackwater) are taking part in the Ukrainian military operation against anti-government protesters in southeastern regions of the country, German media reports.

+Andrew Lloyd Besides which, if the EU did agree to give money to Ukraine, it would probably have to be under similar terms and conditions to Greece - and that was really popular (cough cough) with the locals...
