The VA should be disbanded and something else put in its place. Whatever get put in its place couldn't really do much worse. How can the Veterans Administration right the wrongs of generations of American service members? Are you going to help one more than another era? This is sick, and aside from all of the corruption that we shake our heads and overlook....this should never be one of them.

Two military veterans, one former resident and one current resident of the Boulder Bridge House, Ready to Work Program spend time in Longmont, Colorado at the annual military stand-down.

Gilbert, a former resident and graduate of the Boulder program, brought along another military veteran who had never attended a stand-down, but was in need of items that will help him endure a long winter in Boulder, Colorado.

The Ready to Work program assists the homeless and working poor in getting their lives back on track during their one year of residency. Because the program is tailored to the individual needs of the residents participating in this life-rebuilding program, some may stay a shorter amount of time, and those who need to stay longer are encouraged to work with their case workers and program management to set them on a path that leads them on their feet, in whatever way that looks like to them.

Not all residents are from Boulder, and the program doesn't require them to be. This Bridge House program brings together complex elements that are not common when you examine the field of programs and approaches that look for solutions to homelessness.

How do emails that nobody has seen hurt Hillary Clinton 1-week prior to the election? Can't she just wait it out since investigations take a long time to prove someone innocent or guilty? https://www.quora.com/unanswered/How-do-emails-that-nobody-has-seen-hurt-Clinton-in-the-final-week-before-the-election

The Upskill Initiative is a public-private effort meant to create clear pathways for the more than 20 million workers in front-line jobs that too often lack opportunities to progress into higher-paying jobs. Developing the skills and abilities of these workers, and empowering them to contribute more at work, presents a significant opportunity to improve their wages and to increase the productivity and competitiveness of employers.

Earlier this year the President called on businesses to help workers of all ages earn a shot at better, higher-paying jobs, even if they lack a higher education. Already, more than 100 employers – who employ more than 5 million American workers – are stepping up to expand their use of best practices that increase opportunity.
