GROW IN FAITH!
Any believer—whether mature or new to the faith—would be wise to accept godly counsel, along their Christian journey. We grow and are Christ best representatives when we are open to godly counsel and continually renewing our minds through Bible reading, confessing sin, and the repenting of sin.
Yet many great men and women have moved away from God because they were too proud to admit weaknesses in their Christian walk and to accept godly counsel. But have you ever wondered why some don’t accept godly counsel from some Christians? It may be in part that when some of us seek to provide godly counsel we sometimes fail to remember: A godly counselor won’t be critical or condemning. Rather, as a godly counselor, we are loving and kind, while completely honest with ourselves or with others about faults and mistakes.
Ministering to and encouraging God’s people requires time, attention, and commitment to God. But if you choose to give that time, attention and commitment to your Christian walk, you can expect and will find that you will become more like Christ every day and help others to grow as you grow! Acts 14:22 says, “They encouraged them to continue in the faith”.
When you take the time to encourage and guide others in God’s word, you can stir up their faith and let them know that we serve a God that allows U turns for those who sincerely repent of sin. When you speak faith into the heart of another, your words and encouragement can become a seed that God can nourish!
HAVE A BLESSED WEEK IN THE LORD!
