- Inn on the AlamedaOwner
Born in Dallas, a fourth generation "Dallasite", from Russian Jewish immigrants who arrived in the latter part of the 19th century through Ellis Island. First we had a small bakery, expanded to 11 locations, sold them, lost everything in the Crash from that sale. Then we went into the insurance business and when repeal came, went into brewing as well as the beer, wine and liquor wholesale distributorship business which we remained in until the mid 1990´s.
Attended prep school back East, Stanford University for College then moved to Santa Fe in 1971 and taught school in the junior high level for a year. I then decided to move in into real estate, high end residential construction and commercial construction. Some of my most notable commercial work is for the Pink Adobe and La Fonda in the 1980´s. Then I went on to build the Inn on the Alameda, Hotel Santa Fe, and Fechin Inn in Taos, as well as the re-development of Sanbusco Center. I have served Santa Feans through time spent on many boards including First National Bank of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Opera, Founding Director and Vice-Chairman of the Lensic Performing Arts Center and many educational institutions like Santa Fe Prep, Rio Grande School and United World College. I have two wonderful children and a loving wife that make my life complete.
