Prior to 1988 Presidential debates were run by the League of Women Voters, an organization that has historically sponsored many candidate forums and debates up to the present. They didn't mince words in 1988 when they withdrew from the Presidential debates after the Commission on Presidential Debates took over:
'"It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and honest answers to tough questions," Neuman said. "The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public."'

Californians: SB-443, which curbs Civil Asset Forfeiture, passed the state legislature about a month ago and is currently sitting on the Governor's desk. Call his office at 916-445-2841 and politely ask that he sign SB 443 without further delay.

It's fun and easy! I got a hold of a staffer in about 3 minutes. If you ever get pulled over you'll be glad you made this call.

Go, +Newegg!

"We just don’t believe Rosewill’s products and customers infringed on valid patent claims," said Cheng. "Minero’s case does not have merit, and its patent is not only expired but would suck even if it wasn’t expired. Now that they have started the litigation, it would be irresponsible for Newegg to not finish it."

The time was long ago, but always good to see mainstream support for patent reform.
