Technology and engineering fields are facing the challenge of acquiring and retaining women. This fall we aim to rectify that with a groundbreaking conference: Coder[xx] (prounounced "coders"), the first hyper-focused technical conference for women

Couldn't attend Grace Hopper this year? Join us for a day of technical talks, workshops, networking and more - featuring an opening keynote by Mary Lou Jepsen (Head of Engineering and Display Devices at Facebook/Oculus) and a tremendous lineup of women and men engineers and developers.  You will have the opportunity to learn new tools and languages, and set your self on a path to both technical and career growth.

"Unleash the Engineer Within You" and find out more here: http://coderxx.org

(CodeChix is completely volunteer run.  In order to keep this an affordable conference for all,  we would truly appreciate your donations at http://bit.ly/1JbPN6i)

The Go programming language is an open source project developed by a team at Google, along with other community contributors. Go is intended to be easy to learn and to make programmers more productive. Let's put it to the test: In this 3 hour workshop we will use online materials and class examples to learn the fundamentals of Go and to write a nontrivial application.

DevPulseCon is a hyper-focused technical conference for women engineers, developers, users, administrators, scientists, open source enthusiasts, and geeks. (DevPulseCon was founded in 2015 as Coder[xx].) Technology and engineering fields struggle to acquire and retain women.  DevPulseCon lets women in the industry connect on a technical level and help each other, building connections that can last a lifetime.

We want to thank everyone for coming out to our Kubernetes workshop on Sunday! We had a great turnout, and students from as far away as Monterey came out to learn about Google’s open source container management system.

Thanks again, and May the Code Be with You!
