I bought a groupon for Papa Giorgio's, though with trepidation due to some of the reviews here. I've since eaten there and later got takeout, and both times the service and food were very good. My boyfriend is a particular fan of their calzone. Perhaps whatever service issue they were having has been tended to. This is a nice, independent joint -- give it a try.

The Service was Stellar and the attentive waitress Alixx recommended Calamari as an Apetizer. She also suggested the Fresh Homemade Chocolate Covered Canolli (only $3.99) for Desert (Both were very good.) I had the Lasagna with a Greek Salad and Mouth Watering Fresh out of the oven hot Bread with real Butter. My Girlfriend had the Spaghetti and Meatball Parmisian with a Greek Salad. Our meals were both Excellent, much to my delight on Monday's there are many Specials that are only $7.99 and both of our meals were on the daily Specials list. Not only did the dinners taste great the portions are big. This restaurant is a very good value. The food was served hot and tasted very good. We will definitly be going back and we both give this restaurant Two Thumbs Up !! Without desert and the apetizer both dinners only cost $15.98 WOW !!

Excellent first time experience. The owner was so friendly, professional, and polite that it'll be difficult to forget him and his establishment the next time I'm in the food for pizza. When I called up to place an order, he was as nice and polite as could be. When you call some pizza places, you're greeted with an order taker who's clearly annoyed that his/he has to answer a ringing phone. On top of the excellent customer service, the pizza was outstanding. Yes, the crust is thinner than your normal crust you'd get at a big chain like Pizza Hut, but I barely noticed it (and I hate thin crust). Definitely will visit this place again; hard to forget about it thanks so how wonderfully I was treated by the owner.

I heard bad thins about the place but decided to try them anyway. Steve, the manager was extremely upbeat and accomodating. He let us know of the special deals and was very helpful. We had pizza and it was fabulous and realistcally priced. We have been back 3 more times and I can tell you if you had a bad experience before, try them now.

Stopped by to take a pizza home. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza. Sat and drank a beer while I waited. Had a clear view in thr kitchen where there was no one. After taking the order the waitress opened the front door and spoke to someone that was on the phone out front. I waited. He did not budge. I asked, is he the cook? She said one of them. The waitress said, this is embarassing and went into the dining room where a small group of men were in a conversation. She came back and went into the kitchen. The waitress was making my pizza! The other waitress said I hope this turns out. The group of men came out and I confronted him with wait staff cooking. He did not seem to care. He brought the pizza out. Other waitress opened the box and looked and said it looked good. I told her I would not be back and left. The pizza was ok, but when I looked at it it looke,d perfectly round as if a machine stamped it out. THEY DONT EVEN MAKE THERE OWN DOUGH!!!!

Though I long to find great neighborhood haunts, I was disappointed today. There was no music at all. The wait staff clearly hadn't been trained about the menu. In fact they were constantly gathered in debate at the POS station across from our music-less table. The food was too poor quality for our 3 party price tag of $50. I sure hope they improve. There is so much more they could offer.

When this place was Papa Nicks we used to eat here all the time. Since its Papa Giorgios it has tremendous room for improvement. When we had take out from there in the past they got the order wrong. Then argued with me when I called them back. Reluctantly I was given an I.O.U which needed to be used in 1 week. OK, no problem I get it. When I called back to order a Large pizza for the special price they had advertised, I told them who I was and wanted to use the I.O.U. I was given by them. Upon arrival I had to wait for 30 minutes for a pizza which I had already ordered 15 minutes earlier on the way home from work. Then I was given a smaller pizza than i had ordered. So I still got short changed and had to wait 45 minutes for a plain cheese pizza. I said ,"Never again!". Last week we decided to give them another chance. When we walked in we asked if we could seat ourselves. They said, " yeah sure go ahead. " Well we went in and sat down and waited for over 15 minutes for someone to come to out to the table. Finally I decided to go up to the counter where all the employees were hanging at the bar I waited there for a minute or two while the bartender finished his hand of dollar bill poker. He finally looked up when I had to ask him to please send someone over. A few minutes later a waiter showed up to bring something out to another table next to us then he came back out for the other table on the other side of us. After over 20+ minutes of waiting we finally got some service and the service we received slow at best. When the food came out it seemed the waiter forgot about us again just as I was about to get up he finally came over. After everything was said and done there was no apology for the slow or lack of service. They offered no discount or coupon on future visits in fact the manager was bragging about the two big catering jobs they had coming up( I feel sorry for those folks) and to end it all the both of us ended up with horribly bad indigestion. I felt bad for a day after i had eaten there and I use Nexium for acid control. WE WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. Sorry Three strikes YOUR OUTTA HERE !!!!!!

Pizza was very good, compared to what is available in the area. A northern person like me would be content eating here. Pizza was a bit undercooked however, and the place just had a bit of a kitschy decor.
