Duoliang Station
After called the most beautiful station, Duoliang Station has attracted more and more tourists, due to the juxtaposition of railway, mountain and ocean. It is actually not difficult to find this station. There is an obvious indicator at 417.5km on No.9 Provincial Highway. Then turn right and go upward.

ShiCheng station is the eastern most station in Taiwan and a meaningful station in Taiwan railway history. Pacific ocean right in front of your eyes while you are standing on the platform. Even you can walk to the side of vista point, experiencing the sea breeze silently, and enjoy the sea view.

Before experiencing the exciting carbide flame fishing tour, our guide introduced the life style of the fishing village. In the meantime, countless fiddler crabs were there on the sand looking for food, causing the tiny dense crowd image.
Fiddler crabs are animals that could estimate the accurate time of low and high tide. What an amazing creature!

THE ENDANGERED FISHING CULTURE
Hundreds of years past, but culture last. Jinshan Carbide fishing was first practiced in 1895 during Japanese Colonial Period, and turned into the main way of fishing afterwards. Every May to July, there are about 300 boats sail for fishing. However, as the fishing equipment evolved and the outflow of labor force increased, the carbide flame fishing showed the sign of waning; before 2016, only three boats left insisting on traditional fishing way, and not until the photo of flame fishing had been awarded by National Geographic Photo Contest do people start paying attention to this culture.
