How to Change Your Life with Daily Gratitude Affirmations
Today, let’s consider how to change your life with daily gratitude affirmations. For real! This post contains information that could possibly change your life for the better! Years ago, changing the way I thought and spoke, using daily affirmations, were a large part in beginning to attack my negative, habitual thinking. In addition to affirmations, I also used thanksgiving as a means to combat those unwanted thoughts. #gratitude #thanksgiving #1000gifts

10 Favorite Advent Traditions
Before I start telling you what we do, please understand this is what we do now. We haven’t always had these Advent traditions and we may not always do them. It’s called life and it’s fluid and fun and some seasons need to be more practical than others. I just needed to get that out of the way because I don’t want you to see what we do and think one of two things: I have it all together or I don’t have it all together and need to get it together!

Waking up early can be hard, but it is definitely worth it. It gives you much needed space for important things like prayer and silence, and it builds your muscles of self-discipline.

“Daybreak is a never-ending glory, getting out of bed is a never-ending nuisance.” – G.K. Chesterton For the past year or so, I’ve been getting out of bed earlier than I ever have. Don’t get me wrong, it can...

Free Daily Advent Devotional
“We were created, like all of God’s creation to generate and with purpose–but that does not necessarily mean we are meant ‘to do more.’ Instead of doing more, more, more…what if we stepped back…took a deep breath…and decided this Advent instead of doing more–we would just be…more”

8 Easy but Effective Ways to Get Ready for Advent
The color for the season is purple—which means a time of repentance. It is a little like Lent. The church doesn’t ask us to fast and abstain during this time like we do in Lent, but we are to keep in mind that we are preparing for the beautiful celebration of Christ’s coming. We should prepare our hearts. Just like we don’t play the games or eat cake before the birthday party, so we should show some restraint during Advent. As much as I am able, I try to postpone as many Christmas parties as I can during this time period. #advent #catholic #familytraditions #christmas

I Want to Be a Joy Thinker
I started thinking to myself, “If I can call myself a worrier, why can’t I call myself a truster just as easily?” (Yes, I know “truster” is not technically a word, but it worked and still works for me.) Just that slight change in wording made a small improvement in my thinking and eventually a big change in me. #joy #philippians #thelittlestway
I had a decision to make a few years ago--Who Did I Want to Be? What I was doing wasn't working so I chose to be a joy thinker instead.
