The service was impeccable, professional, and personable. The selection on the menu combined with the specials make the epicurean selection top shelf. The olives appiteasers were a nice selection, the bread was so fresh, and the Caesar salad was lovely with a light dressing that was quite tasty. Add the fresh pepper and the fresh grated cheese and wow! The pasta was done just right, the sauce was so flavorful, it was heavenly. Nice size portion, just enough! The tiramisu dessert was massive -be sure to share it lest you will eat it all yourself!

i go here more frequently for lunch than dinner, but the food is always good. max a penne is the safety order when i'm not adventurous, but the menu changes frequently so tough to pick a favorite.

Limited menu, expensive with smaller portions. Food was good, but felt it was missing some key italian dishes. Certainly more fine dining ambiance than a homemade italian meal feeling. Veal piccata was good. Calamari was "ehh" No marsala dishes (except dessert which the brownie isn't what you expect from a brownie says my wife), Osso Bocco was pork not veal shank, although it looked good. Will certainly try other Max restaurants, but will search for other italian restaurants.

We were in town for a convention. Food, wine and service were very good. Disappointed when we received the bill and the 20% calculated tip at the bottom was actually 30%. Left a really bad taste in our mouth. Not sure if this was an accident or done on purpose? We were going to go to Max Fish tomorrow night but will find a different place to go.

Very good food, upscale and well trained wait staff. My disappointment lies in the fact that when we went there, the restaurant was very empty and when we asked not be seated near the kitchen, which was noisy, we were seated right next to the restrooms, with the majority of the restaurant empty. I don't like giving them a poor rating, but I felt that we were treated exceptionally poorly when we asked for a quieter table. We could have had a lovely table with great cuisine and an enjoyable afternoon, instead of being given the absolutely worst table in a restaurant less then 25% full.

I enjoyed the three cheese ravioli. Max has set the standard of comparison when it comes to this dish! With it, I drank the Harpoon 100 Barrel Series #38 Docesna (Czech Hop Harvest Ale).

By far the worst max resturant! Will never go back, trust me, don't waist your time! Sauce was out of a can, service was slow, and when I complained they did nothing to accommodate me! Can you say....How does this place stay open!? Go across the street to jgilberts!
