D3CRYPT3D is not about technology, but is instead about the culture around technology and changing the way people view digital content.

We do not see digital art as a copy and paste function. It is a craft that takes tremendous skill – it takes hours, days, and years of perfecting 3D objects to create finished products. The only way, as an industry, we can reach our full potential is by changing people’s attitudes about how they view digital content.

D3CRYPT3D launches accessible 3D printable file encryption to fight 3D asset theft CAD file ownership has always been a tricky issue within the 3D printing community. On the one hand, we are big supporters of open source file sharing through Thingiverse and other platforms – it’s how so many of us earned our 3D printing chops in the first place. While its benefits are obvious, open source sharing is also lethal to various business models, and is a big reason why many large companies are hesitant to enter the 3D printing business. What’s the point of building a 3D modeling business if your files are easily stolen and shared throughout the world?

D3CRYPT3D program write-ups in Italy. I hope that the program we are creating will help 3d artists and studios will have some sort of say in their creations. If you haven't tried it yet, we are putting some more features in D3CRYTP3D that will help artists and studios to track their digital assets. Calling card feature is to be placed in this month. Looking forward to that!
