07/27/15 - Join us for Monday’s Topical Currents, and award-winning ecologist and author, Carl Safina. In the book “Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel,” he disputes the view of scientists who retreat from conjectures about the “inner lives” of animals. Safina observes the activities of primates, elephants, wolves and whales to conclude that it’s not only humans who experience joy, grief, jealousy, anger and love. We’ll learn more from journalist Catherine Price.  She’s written VITAMANIA:  Our Obsessive Quest for Nutritional Perfection. That’s Topical Currents, Tuesday at 1pm.
