The friendly sting rays who live at Hamelin Bay in the Margaret River Region of WA are quite extraordinary.

They patrol past the beach regularly throughout the day and will swim right up to you if they notice you standing in the shallows! They will eat fish from your hand and some people even pat them.

The best times for spotting them are when the weather's fine and the water clear; and more importantly when there are lots of people fishing from the beach or when boats are returning after fishing trips.
