add this to the want list!

Multitools are fabulously useful, unless you do not have yours handy when you need it. It doesn't matter how many gadgets you cram into an all-in-one, if it is being a really efficient use of space on your nightstand. Frustrating. A wearable multitool you never take off, though, yeah, that sounds promising.

Yesterday managed to do a 70+ mile ride with about 4400 feet of climbing, some at over a 10% grade. In les than 2 weeks I'll be riding in my first century!  About 8 months ago I got back on a bike for the first time since I was a teenager, because I needed a way to get to work! Bike Commuting will change your life.

Although I don't post much to this group, I absolutely love getting the feed! Especially the stories of those who are new to bike commuting and daily riding. My bike is my principle means of transportation (I have no car or driver's licence) and the effects of this have been incredible. I usually ride an average of 15 - 20 miles a day, most days actually quite a bit more, lol. At 39 years old I am in the best shape of my life and am currently preparing for my first century ride. I am constantly inspired by all of you who are riding in freezing weather through banks of snow and I promise I will no longer complain about putting on my rain gear.
Keep riding and go +Bike Commuter Cabal!

Keep at it, and try adding some longer rides.  You're probably in good enough shape now to do a century.

Is anyone else riding in the Nappa Valley Tour de Cure Sunday? I would love to meet some of you all in person. I'll be at the Craigslist tent after I get in from the century.

On May 5th I'll be riding in the American Diabetes Associations' Tour de Cure in Napa California.
This will be my first "official" century and I am excited and a little scared, my commute has NEVER been that long. lol
I'll be riding as part of the Craigslist Rigshock Riders team. Not only does that mean that they will donate $1000 in my name, but they will MATCH anything that I raise.
So if you are able, and would like to see your donation met by the people at Craigslist, any little bit would help the people at the ADA with their very important work.

I had heard about the steak here for a while and finally decided to give it a try. GREAT! Huge portion of steak cook perfectly, salad, veggies, onion rings (or fries, or baked potato) and bread for <$15 The place has a great feel and there is live music. I know I'll be going back there regularly.

This was my first experience of Ethiopian food. Amazing! The service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the price affordable. I now consider this to be my favorite restaurant and will be back frequently. Oh, and if you like good coffee give yourself a treat and try theirs.

I never thought that I would want to be a member of a synagogue again, but Kehilla is that amazing! As soon as I went to my first Shabbat service I knew I was at home. Davening there has has me crying with joy and dancing with praise, sometimes at the same time. If you are looking for a Jewish community that walks their talk, where all are welcome, and where when you ask questions you are encouraged, you should take a look here.

Main statement: Best Lemonade in Oakland, ground ice and mint, yummy! It has become my goto when I need to give myself a treat, or meet with friends. Falafel sandwich with Israeli style coffee. They have tables outside which are perfect for a warm day, and the staff is always incredibly friendly. I've goten hungry typing this and think I may just walk over there now.
