My boy friend and I watch Top Chef and saw Michelle on the show several times and we live in Miami so we decided to go try her place. It turns out it was less then 10 blocks from our house. My boy friend has traveled all over the world and has tried everything and is very harsh when it comes to new restaurants. Our 1st trip there we tried the tasting menu, it was amazing! We got to try 3 cold apps, 3 hot apps, and 4 main courses, and it had a refreshing desert to go along with it for a mere $75 a person. I have to say that my favorite dishes were the Oysters, Greek Watermelon Salad and the Foie gras. We were surprised to find that the most amazing restaurant in Miami was basically in our front yard. It wasn't long before we made our second trip, we weren't going to do the tasting menu again but when we got there we just had to. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, he had asked us what we had on the tasting menu before and made sure we got to try different dishes then last time. Again, everything was just out of this world. Michelle seems to put love in her food and into the atmosphere of this cute modern restaurant. We love it so much we are going to go for the 2nd time this week! We love Michy's.

Yeah this place may look like a hole in the wall, but I would consider it cozy. The place is a bit small and you may be able to hear other peoples' conversations during your meal but the service and food completely make up for this little flaw. I had the duck confit which was great, and it went well with the polenta that my buddy had as his appetizer. For my main course I had the Goat Cheese Gnocchi with Meatballs... definitely seemed like an odd choice of dish but when it arrived at the table it was extremely delicious. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the bill was not as expensive as other places in Miami. Definitely go here and try out something you are not familiar with on the menu as I did and you may be pleasantly surprised.

A 27 for food, are you kidding me? This place is at best a 17 or 18. Very limited menu which would be fine if the limited items served were special but we were a party for four and none of our appetizers or main courses were special. To be fair none were bad, but none were anything like what one would expect for a restaurant with a 27 rating for food. Oh and by the way the service was innatentive at best.

The braised short rib here is so good it will make you wanna slap yo mama. Same goes for the bibb lettuce salad, croquetas and bread pudding. The husband and I frequent Michy's on the regular because the food is always consistent and the service is bar none — you won't find any 'tude here THANK GOD. Here are the must-order plates not already mentioned: Curry snapper, fresh oyeter du jour and fried chicken. Get ready for a decadent food coma afterward:)

I have been fortunate enough to have experienced the best in dinning and service at the best restaurants in Manhattan, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Florence and the like, and I have absolutely no hesitation in saying that Michelle is every bit as good as the chefs in those rwstaurants. Actually, I give her far more credit for not having "sold out" as many of her less talented colleagues have. I also admire her devotion and loyalty to Miami.

Butt-ugly decor in an ugly space in an ugly part of town. Who cares...the food was superb, the service excellent, and it just plain felt great to be here. Highly recommended.

really enjoyed our meal here! friendly service at the bar offered fabulous recommendations of tasty small plates most of which stand alone as great...not sure if they compliment each other though. loved the short ribs and the desserts were well-worth the calories!

the duck was really great and the service was wonderful... the half portions it's a good idea but the chicken plate was oversize! a lot of chicken and coleslaw. the wine list it's not complete but has fair price. the decor?? it was so poor.
