"The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation." ~ Psalms 118:14

To start with, I have a few of my favorite pictures from the last while. I've always loved art, and particularly photography... I will be posting more pictures soon.

This awesome couple (Jesse & Margaret), and my incredible brother +Joshua Slabaugh just left for the airport!  In between all the busyness of packing for an eight month trip, we managed squeeze in a photoshoot!  It was short, but fun, and I thought I'd share the them you! The last two pictures of Joshua and I come from last night...   I'm going to miss these people so much!  They will be traveling for the next day at least, so keep them in your prayers!!!

You can take this quote two ways, The first is just the way that it sounds… Let me be totally consumed with my desire, and my “quest” you might say, to know God, to become more like Christ… To seek Him with my whole heart, and to lay aside the cares of this life, to put away the things of this world.  Let my desire to know God make the things of this earth grow dim.  And as this Glory shines into my life, that I would no longer see, or be affected by this world.  I won’t be a thermometer anymore, but a thermostat.
The other way might be a little more abstract, but I read this quote in the context of mission work.  And so what came to me when I first read it was this...  Instead of focusing on the world, and trying to save the world, whole nations, or people groups. He is saying, let me forget about this…and be totally consumed with Christ, and as I am totally filled, overflowing with His life, then those around me will be changed, and will be affected in a real way!

Last week, while cleaning up the yard in the aftermath of winter, I noticed these flowers blooming all along the road... And as I was slaving away/enjoying the spring sunshine,  I had to think of the verse in Matthew 6:28-29 "...Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
What a blessing to know that we have a God that cares SO much for each one of His children.  And even when we are walking through that valley, we don't have to fear, because He is with us, and He will never leave us, nor forsake us!     So, consider the lilies, and know that we serve a God who cares!
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6.

Last spring, I had the joy of taking these Senior pictures of +Sara Ann Ebersol and +Jonathan Ebersol. They are siblings that both graduated in 2015! The morning started with some awesome morning light, spring flowers and colors at Greenfield Park... The whole day was a blast! I'll let the pictures do most of the talking, so enjoy!
