depending on what you get, it might be good or really good. :-) We were a little skeptical whenever there is new fusion but it actually works this time. we came here for a special pre-fix menu made for the restaurant week. Not only was our waitress amazing, the food were really good. The wild honey ice cream was so delicious and we begged the chief to keep it as permanent. likely not going to happen, but it was delicious. I would stick with their sashimi and scallops as those are really fresh and tasty. The cod was a little dry.

Skool is surrounded by a bunch of industrial buildings and warehouses, but step into the courtyard and you will feel like you walked into an oasis: classy ambiance complete with potted plants and indoor/outdoor seating. There's a very well equipped bar along one wall inside. It is a seafood heavy menu, but there are burgers (with optional fried egg!) for those who aren't into the seafood scene. Definitely try the fried mushrooms. Versatile spot where you could take a date or your happy hour crew.

Amazing experience. If you want Uni flan come early.. me and my wife got here at 12 they were sold out by 1215. The waitress said they make about 10 for brunch. Squid ink Spaghetti is my favorite.... Enjoy fellow foodies!

The seafood here is amazing! I've had the mussels twice and they were great. The uni flan is also amazing, a great introduction to uni for a first timer.

This is probably the only time you ever want to get Skool(ed)! Cute Name - It's named after a school of fish! Beautiful Restaurant - Very trendy and modern, a gem hidden behind industrial buildings and apartments. Delicious Food - They know their seafood. They were super accommodating for our large party reservation of 17 people. We took up pretty much half the indoor seating but it was such a good place to host a large party! Their service was great and the staff was super friendly. They made my boyfriend's dinner party a success! I ordered the squid ink spaghettina and shared the porcini ling cod with my boyfriend. We also got the eryngii fries, skool fries, and Uni flan to share. -------------- FOOD --------------- Squid Ink Spaghettina: No shame, I drank the broth. I didn't want to pick up the bowl to do it so I just used the spoon but I thought about sticking a straw in there to drink it. SO MUCH FLAVOR. I kinda wish it was like a seafood soup because the noodles were just ordinary. Squid ink doesn't taste like anything, it just makes anything it touches black. Porcini Ling Cod: That fish was pan fried to perfection. Crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The flavor was on point. My disappointment comes from the fact there wasn't more of it on the plate :( Eryngii fries: mushroom breaded and fried is delicious unless you're not a fan of mushrooms then you're out of luck! The breading is light which I really enjoyed and their dipping sauce is perfect with the mushroom. Uni Flan: Can't get this anywhere else I'm pretty sure. Worth trying if you're curious or a fan of uni. The uni flavor wasn't super strong, it was mostly had a creamy taste which is perfect for flan. The crostini was a nice pair to the flan. Skool fries: I swear this was like McDonalds fries but like x10000 better! IMO i think Mcdonalds has kickass fries so this is a compliment. I thought their fries were excellent and they make it just how I like them, skinny and crispy. I also want to point out that their drinks are good too! I got their prickly pear soda which was their special soda of the day and it was goooood. Didn't get any alcohol but they do offer free cava(champagne) if you checkin on your yelp! Dinner here was fantastic and I am definitely coming back to try their brunch/lunch!

Squid ink spaghettini!!!! Oh so good!!! Can't stop thinking about it!! I celebrated my birthday here with a large group of friends. We were there for brunch! It was a perfect day for outdoor seating! The staff was very accommodating and patient! The cocktails and drinks were unique and made perfectly!! Food was also fantastic!! I have frequented this place since, for dinners and lunches. Will be going back again!!

Cute fusion seafood restaurant in Potrero Hill where parking is plentiful. I had the Lucky Cat cocktail and it was delicious; slightly sweet and refreshing. I ordered a bunch of appetizers: the Skool Ceviche was amazing. It comes with these crispy crackers that crackle when you put the ceviche on top. The ceviche itself is so flavorful and fresh. I had the fries with the flakes on top. I liked it but it could've used a dipping sauce. The daily soup was good too. I would come back for happy hour because they're a bit pricey!
