Skool is a unique gem of a find in a quiet neighborhood. It offers Japanese fusion cuisine focused on fresh, high-quality ingredients. It's a cool place for brunch, happy hour or dinner. The outdoor space is great for brunch and the interior is elegant and modern. Must tries: + Uni Flan (So tasty, you'll get addicted quickly) + Alaska Black Cod (light and tender) + Squid Ink Spaghettina (uniquely different from other pasta) + Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (Super fresh and light with yuzu sauce)

Great brunch option that takes reservations. Who likes waiting an hour to get seated at many of the other brunch options in the area? I got the jerk chicken and waffles, and the chicken was perfectly spiced, fried, and still very juicy. The waffles are pretty standard, but they top it with sake infused golden raisins. There's also a ton of parking in the area, so feel free to drive here.

Brunch was amazing. Every dish was good. I especially loved the extra tender fried chicken and waffles! On the pricey side. But worth it if only for the $1 oysters - some of the best oysters I've had in SF!

Great Japanese fusion restaurant and bar. Great ambiance and decor and perfect for a date or dinner with friends. Outdoor patio seating may get chilly, but they provide heat lamps and furry blankets for all! The uni flan is to die for. The squid ink pasta is one of my favorites - black noodles with a spicy kick to it. Extensive drink menu and innovative dishes.

The menu is binder paper themed.... did anyone else take till the end of the meal to figure that out? I thought it was pretty clever. Anyways, onto the good stuff. I have to give it to this place for being very unique and quaint - it's a very good date spot. There's both indoor seating as well as outdoors. The decor was very trendy and felt upscale yet it was still a fun environment. I ordered the mushroom fries and squid ink spaghettini. Both were unique, different but definitely delicious. I need to come back and try the other stuff before I can upgrade this place to 5 stars but it's definitely on the right track.

Love the atmosphere in this hidden gem in the design district of San Francisco. There's an outdoors area to hang out at when it's warm so you can bring your dog! It's mainly a seafood based restaurant famous for their spaghettini and Uni Flan. My favorite dessert is the purple yam pot de creme but it wasnt available when I went recently so I was sad about that. Definitely worth checking out if you like seafood and a casual but hip atmosphere with high ceilings and great service.
