Fantastic and truly an experience. I must disclaim it was not the best food I've ever had, but I entered with serious hype and my expectations were still exceeded. The innovation, portion size, service, timing, flavors, are all expertly executed with the feel of practice and expertise. It was like one of those one night benders where you don't even feel bad about yourself the next morning, even though you're deadly hungover and $300 out—you have a story to tell you eventual children, sitting in a rocker, remembering that peekytoe crab salad and asparagus sous vide'd in a pig's bladder.

Located in Manhattan, NY, this is a French-styled Michelin 3 star restaurant and it is all about creativity. A 3-hour lunch seemed to pass by really fast, that's how enjoyable it was. Very different style from Blue Hill, but the attention to details and the choosing of top ingredients were the same and the dishes were all so delicious and visually pleasing. The caviar, foie gras, lobster, duck, even the at-table-side-freshly-grinded carrots were just wonderful. Of course, seeing how they braised the asparagus inside a pig's bladder (very few places in the U.S. do that) was definitely an eye-opener (I thought it was a melon from far away). The restaurant is nicely decorated with high high ceiling and big windows which I loved.

Great experience! The tasting menu have some different options in some courses. They try to do their best to be unique for each person. At the end they have lots of surprises! This is a 3 star Michelin Restaurant! Don't forget to visit the kitchen!

Not having any expectations going to dine here I was pleasantly surprised. Had been trying to get a reservation for awhile and was finding it harder to get than Per Se! Hadn't realised at the time it had gotten higher ratings than Per Se. But going to both within the space of a week I felt the experience and food was more interesting and enjoyable at Eleven Madison. Quick tip, go hungry, the tasting course has a huge number of dishes. Even small plates add up after about the 15th one! But having said that the price was actually quite reasonable for this quantity, quality and inventiveness of the dishes. Again much more so than Per Se. As someone else mentioned Eleven Madison didn't feel the need to add supplemental charges on the tasting menu. Found the staff to be pretty easy going and not full of themselves, which is always nice at a high end restaurant. It was also interesting to have the kitchen tour as well, where we were served some shaved ice cones as we watched the staff go about their business. Amusingly, the goody bag given to you at the end of your visit contained some of the granola that we had in one of the dishes. It was pretty good for breakfast. 8) Do note that the tasting menu changes every quarter, so what we had has changed since we had the fall menu in 2015. And having only been once I don't know how many main stay dishes they keep through the seasons. So, a fun experience for high end dining.

My first time at a 3-star Michelin restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I often leave nice restaurants thinking "I could have made that", but I was blown away by the flavor, technique, and artistry of the food. The service was also impeccable - everyone that I interacted with went beyond expectations to make it a special experience. Bravo!

Great experience! The caviar, foie gras, duck, lobster are wonderful. If you like red meat try the 140 day old aged ribeye steak, it's top-notch.

a few weeks back I wanted to take out my GF to celebrate her birthday, so I booked this restaurant once I discovered it. It came highly recommended with its Michelin Stars. We went all out with their Tasting Menu. Problem was, she thought I was going to pop-the-question :-D The dishes were nothing but superb!! With an excellently paired wine. By the way, they wouldn't accept our tip; even though our waiter deserved it. He was nice enough to allow us to try three different wines, where the 3rd was perfect. Interested to try out their Private Dining Room which gives you a birds-eye view of the dining area. I just need to get my friends in on such a venture. This is one of my top 3 restaurant picks for special dinners. My girlfriend and I were very happy with all the dishes. Everything from the spacious dinner settings, presentation, and flavor-profiles, - makes this well worth the cost. I highly recommend you reserve a table here.

I feel obligated to give this establishment the prestigious Google 5-star award. Every aspect of this meal was perfect from the service to the ambiance and, of course, the food. Absolutely stunning. 10/10 would eat again.
