Thank You +Earth & "What's Hot..."

Earth is estimated to be about 4.54 billion years old. Humans (in their modern form) have been around for about 200,000 years.
Extend your arm and index finger completely. Your arm represents a time line- the beginning of Earth is represented by the end of the nose and the present is the fingertip. Passing a file over the fingernail once would erase all of human history.

For years, Republicans have told us "Don't vote Libertarian because it doesn't make any difference."

This year, they're telling us "Don't vote Libertarian - because it does."

I thought that in the past, the Republicans said that "a vote for an Independant was dividing the Republican votes and therefore ends up as a vote for a Democrat"?  That may not be what they said, but it's what I heard.

Further News From The Viking Outpost Excavation

For the past 50 years—since the discovery of a thousand-year-old Viking way station in Newfoundland—archaeologists and amateur historians have combed North America's east coast searching for traces of Viking visitors.

It has been a long, fruitless quest, littered with bizarre claims and embarrassing failures. But at a conference in Canada earlier this month, archaeologist Patricia Sutherland announced new evidence that points strongly to the discovery of the second Viking outpost ever discovered in the Americas.

I came across an old , (1920's), magazine where an explorer of western Canada claimed to have been rescued by a tribe of red-headed Eskimos.  I guess nothing ever came of it.
