I liked coming here, until I got awful food poisoning from a salad. A salad! Quite and achievement on their part.

I went to the Damson Diner before Christmas for a girly night out. The food is excellent and the service reasonable (there was a mix-up over a cocktail - the waitress thought we were ordering a dessert by the same name). My one quibble was the price vs portion size, particularly for the small bites. This is a theme with a number of new restaurants around Dublin, where starters cost a lot of money. The chilli was amazing, but the menu choice is limited, particularly if you're a veggie. Don't go for the gin spritzer cocktail.. it's too giney- but all other cocktails are Yum.

Had a lovely lunch here not to long ago, followed by dinner the next day. Great food both times. Its very much in the "Dude Food" vibe that's all the rage. Their infused alcohols are great and my recommendation would be to try their Crab Cakes and their Cheese Burger.

Love this place...Ribs.Ribs.Ribs. Apparently they have a DJ some evenings too but never had the pleasure...

I hate writing bad reviews on restaurants, but in this case, I would have it put it as Fair, not poor, but theres no option for that. We were there on Saturday for Lunch with my friend, wife and two young kids. Its a cool place, nice decor, buzzy with some space at the back. The lunch menu is pretty good, lots of options, both large and small plates with plenty of variety. A take on a diner, with cocktail options etc. We ordered three dishes, Salt & Chili Gambas, Siam Duck and Banh Mi (a vietnamese sandwich). We ordered some chips for the boys and as sides. Initially, the chips, as asked for, arrived early to keep the little ones happy but then we waited for 35 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive. Never once, did anyone come to the table to see if we were ok or explain why it was taking so long. Not the end of the world, but a little disappointing. Then the food arrived. The salt and chili gambas were tasty, simple, good. Pricey at 11 euro, but tasty. The duck in lettuce leaves, were also tasty, a mix of shredded duck and thai flavours. A decent salad dish, tasty. And now unfortunately for the Banh Mi. For those of you who have had Banh Mi sandwiches before, you will know that it is truly a great lunchtime snack. Damson Diner do their own version, and it just doesnt work at all. There was chilli sauce (no doubt from a bottle) that killed the whole sandwich. there was also lots of mayonnaise that made it seem very unhealthy and most worryingly the pork belly they used was cut way too thick and was very chewy. Such a pity, as I really was looking forward to there being somewhere in Dublin that does decent Banh Mi. All in all, I would go back. It doesn't deserve a poor review, nor does it deserve a good review. It shouldnt take 35 minutes to put those three dishes together. My guess is that the Pork belly wasnt ready, they rushed it and that was the delay.

Nice food but menu a bitlimited, could do with less loud music. I like to have a normal conversation when dining, not shout.
