FOOTWORK #013 W/ JME (BBK) - 1ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

JME (BBK)

JME (real name Jamie Adenuga) is a grime artist from Tottenham, North London, and founded label Boy Better Know in 2005. His heads down methodology has him blazing a trail into the public eye with his prolific street releases and ultimate clothing line. JME has appeared on many grime dvd’s including Practice Hours where Bossman, Big H and JME did a freestyle over the beat to his hit single ‘Serious’.

JME has hit the nail on the head for a second time with this Album, BLAM! 15 hard hitting tracks with no gaps, no fillers. This is an audio representation of his honesty & devotion to the Grime scene. He even includes a 16th instrumental track as a bonus to his fans. It’s been over a year since we were graced with his presence on the album front, that being said, he hasn’t exactly been quiet. The three singles we have heard from him (Over me, Sidetracked ft Wiley & CD is Dead ft Tempa T) are all included on this album, alongside 12 other nang tunes, some that will be smashing the clubs & a few that you will definitely be hearing on the radio. This whole package is a personal gift from JME to the Boy Better Know fans. The music, the hand drawn cover, the booklet, everything...all created by the man himself, JME uses the raw, grime, DIY style he has always had and delivers a spectacular album that the whole UK music scene will love & pay attention to.

Filthy Vicars:

A DJ producer duo from Coventry. They play mainly Bass, Grime, Garage, Bassline and anything in between. Known for fast mixing and lively sets, these boys have recently had DJ support from radio stations around the UK and DJs such as spooky (deja vu fm) & royal-t (rinse fm) and more! These lads know the home crowd inside out & are known to back a southern or two.

Kuska:

Kuska's underground and bass driven deep house sets have caused a stir at literally hundreds of dance floors throughout his thirteen year DJ career; his sound is distinctive, unique and instantly recognizable. ‘You are what you eat’ as the expression goes and KusKa certainly wears his House garage and Rave diet on his sleeve, and it shows in his sets and his productions. Be prepared!

Shocka D:

Fellow footwork CEO & duppy maker behind the decks, Shocka D will be providing the riddims to keep your feet moving and your body bouncing. Footwork regulars will know how this guy gets down.

Suck Fake & Keff:

You know how these two boys get us warmed up for a night of pure vibes! When the two team up behind the decks some sort of mystical magic happens and we ride along the musical road with them. Providing house vibes with lashings of bass, these guys keep the dance floor moving. If you've been to a footwork before, theres no doubt you'll have heard these two behind the decks.

Dave Lings:

The newest member to the footwork team, and theres a clear reason why! This guy knows how to warm up the crowd for the night ahead. You may have caught him in the side room at previous footwork events, doing his thing. This time, come see what he can do when we put him behind some pioneers and our Funktion One sound system!

Attended a friend's birthday party there a week ago. We had a VIP booth just for ourselves which made me feel really special and I don't know if that is the reason why the staff was so friendly and attentive or they are like that to everyone at the club but they did a great job. Lots of cool people and fresh tracks which kept us going the whole night. Other than that I can't really say it's the best club I've ever been to but still it was an experience to remember.
