First, the hotel restaurant is a rip-off. The food is mediocre, yet we were charged premium restaurant rates. Second, the arm chairs in the rooms are ridiculous......they're slippery, with a back that's leans back at an angle, so it's almost impossible to sit back in them comfortably. Third, while the rooms have refrigerators, they don't leave you any complimentary drinking water in them. You'd think that for a room that costs almost $200 a night, you'd get free water. Fourth, the valet service costs far too much.......$51 a day with tax. I only give three stars because it's conveniently located, and the rooms are decent otherwise.

I stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights and loved it! My room on the 14th floor was awesome! The view overlooking downtown was beautiful at night. The staff was genuinely nice. I had originally been placed on the 7th floor and when I kindly asked the front desk clerk he happily worked with me to get a room with a view. I can honestly say that I had a great week at this Courtyard Marriot. My wife and I will definitely stay here the next time we're back for a vacation trip.

Stayed here 2 weeks ago from Saturday-Sunday. Pros: Rooms were REALLY nice and clean! Beds were heavenly. Bathroom was great with the sink/mirror separate from the toilet/shower. Staff was friendly. Cons: Elevators were INCREDIBLY slow. I am a Marriot Rewards Silver Elite member and the wifi was free for me but they made me pay to use the business center, which stunk.

Marriott Silver member. Love the hotel location, but will stay at Home2 down the street. The reason is the nickel and dime approach Marriott is taking to everything. Went into the business center to simply print out one sheet of paper, and it has a credit card swap on it. Breakfast buffet was over $25. At mid-morning, wanted to get a coffee and sit at an unoccupied table to work. Manager told me I had to order breakfast or go sit in the lobby. Going to start to look at Hilton as an alternative.

I stayed here for two nights and couldn't have been happier with my choice. This hotel is perfectly situated across from City Hall, giving it easy walking access to things like Reading Terminal Market, the Liberty Bell, Rittenhouse Square, and museums. Rooms are newly updated and incredibly chic for the Courtyard brand. Staff is friendly and the hotel offers both a Starbucks and restaurant. The best part is it doesn't get overrun with non-guests hunting for a bathroom or place to warm-up on colder days. Only hiccup is the valet area is too small to manage the number of people pulling up. #Philly #Hotel #GetMySleepOn

Beautiful & impressive from the outside. We arrived today and it was pouring rain. They only have $50 valet parking. The parking area was completely full of vehicle so we ended up driving around the block before cars were moved and we could unload our luggage. The desk clerks, especially the gentleman with the beard, seemed disinterested, not friendly and more concerned with speaking with people on the phones than waiting on us. The room is beautiful but even on the 7th floor, noise from the street filters up. We had supper in the restaurant downstairs. It was merely ok. Our server, while friendly, forget several items and our food seemed to take too long for not very good-tasting food. The climate control in the room is quiet and effective. The bed is soft and there's a tv that works; the remote control is slow to change stations on the tv and you have to really press the buttons to get it to work. There is one bar of soap in the spacious bathroom -- this is for both the tub and sink. There's also one of those mini-coffee makers on the bottom shelf of the bathroom vanity about 16 inches from the base of the commode. I can't imagine who would have placed it there and I sure can't imagine anyone using the thing after it's been sitting there for who knows how long so close to "the line of fire." When the receipt arrived the next morning, the billing was inaccurate and included a meal billed to our room even though we paid at the restaurant. The clerk at the front desk was skeptical about this charge until I provided a receipt showing that we had paid, ourselves, at the end of our meal. Overall, despite the grandiose appearance, this hotel will be remembered for being inconvenient and the service inhospitable.

Best hotel experience ever. I got there early and had large bags so I could not do anything without a room. They found me a room and let me check in at 12:00. It is all the small things the did to make the experience great. There was fruit infused water in the lobby, free printing of boarding pass, and rooms were newly remodeled. The location could not have been better and my room looked at the Philly skyline and the city hall. Definitely the best view I got of the city. Rooms were nice, clean, and very modern. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks

This hotel is in a great location and is only a few minutes away from the Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia Convention Center, and Chinatown, as well as the historical sites. The service here was excellent. Even though I booked through Priceline(in which I got a fabulous deal), the front-desk worker accommodated my needs when I asked him if he had a room with double beds, he gave me a room with a pull out sofa but still, it was nice of him to look for one. Amazingly, this hotel offers FREE wifi, while the Marriott across the street does not, which is flabbergasting. There is a Starbucks and restaurant in the lobby, which is convenient for people who want a snack or quick meal. However, the Starbucks does not accept gift cards. I did not try the pool and fitness center, but took a look at them and they seem very good. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at if you want a great experience at a great location.
