We went back to Gleason Canyon and studied the hand made rock wall and found some other interesting things along the way. Watch the video full screen! If you'd like the whole story ---

Jump Canyon, where is it you ask? In the Northeast corner of the Mojave Desert in the Arizona Strip. This would be a great adventure for part of this 4 day holiday. Photos, maps and GPX track included. A St. George Jeepers trip

Are you a rock hound, or maybe just like rocks? How about Fumarole's (Steam Vents)? Or how about a Brothel and hot springs resort from way back when? Like great scenery? How about wildlife, all kinds including snakes? Well we found a great place to find all this. Join us on this trip then plan your own trip to the "Mineral Mountains". GPX track, maps, video included.

How do you want your photography work to look? Technically correct or amazing photo effects? Either way your camera won't produce what your eye sees, so why not get the look you want?
TopazLabs is having a great sale for 40% off (complete collection or individual plug-ins) This makes this a real steal! Look at a couple examples here http://www.in-the-desert.com/topazpromotions.html

Have you really been to the middle of "nowhere"? If you think so then take a look at this trip to Devil's Cove at Lake Mead. 106 miles round trip down past Gold Butte, an easy trip but to a desolate area. Plan on doing this trip with friends! Another St. George Jeepers Daytrip. http://www.in-the-desert.com/Devils_Cove.html

It's getting really nice and it's time to start your off road trip planning -- and here's another neat trip just done by the St. George Jeeper's. Just to the East of Mesquite, Nevada is Virgin Mountain. This trip does a loop around the mountain to see some nice sights along the way. Great daytrip. Photos, info, GPX track included. http://www.in-the-desert.com/Virgin_Mountain_Loop.html

Leaving St. George, Utah going South on I-15 in the Virgin River Gorge, have you passed by the Cedar Pockets exit? Nothing much there? It's the starting point for a really neat off-road trip! It goes West into the cliffs and mountains. Doesn't look possible, but it is, easily! Great views and sights along the way. Here's another trip report by "Bud", Leland Sanders and the St. George Jeeper's. You won't want to miss this one! http://www.in-the-desert.com/Cedar_Pockets.html

Rare Sighting! Common Black Hawk
It's estimated that only 250 pairs are in the wild. Lives near the edges of flowing water. Photo courtesy of Jack L. Sheldon Jr.
