Adorable little cafe, adding to the growing list of gems in West Harlem. Sitting under a brownstone it is easy to miss, but once you know where it is you will find it difficult to walk by and NOT pop in for a cuppa. Good music, and they have open mic on certain nights with local bands and poets. Free Wi-Fi, good tea list and a loyalty card that will score you a free cup after buying x-amount. There's also a garden they open up during the warmer months for additional seating (inside can get a little cramped.) Named after the cup on Beauty and the Beast, it's easy to see the beauty in this cute hidden cafe - still looking for the beast.

Wonderful little hipster coffee shop in West Harlem. Always crowded with college kids, this coffee shop makes excellent coffee and tea lattes and serves bagels with the most famous tofu veggie cream cheese. Sometimes they have specialty flavors like matcha lemonade or pumpkin coffee. If it's warm enough, you can sit outside on the garden chairs in their lovely urban style back area.

It's a nice place to get a cup of coffee, but the music is much too loud. It gets in the way of having a conversation and studying becomes distracting. Turn it down!

This is my neighborhood, around here you learn how to appreciate every cute little coffee shop where you can go and work a bit or just relax. The chipped cup is a relatively new addition to the area and believe me is worth a visit. Really good coffee and pastries. More than anything I come to this place for the almond cookies. They are really addictive.

I had a hazlenut hot chocolate with a shot of expresso. They had run out of food so i did not get to try anything. The staff was cool and the place had a nice vibe. They have free wifi which has good speed but it only has a 2 hr limit. I would go back.

A gem in Morningside Heights! I'm just going to repeat the same thing others have said... only I'm going to gush more about the pastry. My friend asked the staff to surprise her and they did. She loved the coffee and the pastry was out of this world. How do I know? I had the pastry too. It was the best cheese danish I've ever had. So good, I don't want to sully it with the name "danish". Danish conjures up images of plastic wrapped blobs of goo, surrounded by sickly sweet bread. This was more of a sweet croissant with a schmear of cheesey goodness and icing to pick off and relish on its own. So good. So good that when conversation lagged... we talked about how damn good the pastry was. My friend and I stayed inside and talked for a couple of hours. We appeared to be the only ones talking. Sorry, to those of you trying to get work done! I hope we weren't obnoxious. Pfffttt! I know we weren't. I'm never obnoxious! There's Wi-Fi. Good to know. And there's an outdoor space I'm coming back for. And the coffee. Next time I want the coffee.
