Valerie Thompson is one of the world’s most accomplished independent female motorcycle racing team owner/drivers, often referred to as “America’s Queen of Speed.”
With seven land speed records and membership in six 200 MPH Land Speed Racing Clubs, Valerie became the first female over 300 mph on two-wheels riding the famed “7” Denis Manning designed streamliner at the 2016 Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials, earning the title of “World’s Fastest Female Motorcycle Racer.”
Valerie, Manning and the accomplished members of Team “7” Racing return to Bonneville in 2017 to attempt re-writing racing history by breaking the motorcycle land speed record of 376 mph.
She is also the first female member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club board of directors.
These stellar accomplishments and personal best speed of 217.7 mph (350.53 KM/H) on her BMW S 1000 RR, have led to Valerie being featured in a Super Bowl commercial, numerous racing film documentaries, books and a variety of awards off the track.
Valerie returns to her “quarter-mile” in 2017 with a new team in the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle series while continuing her goal of setting new records at select land speed racing events.
