Portal appeal: Drawbridge Town Hall
https://www.ingress.com/intel?ll=37.466617,-121.974506&pll=37.466617,-121.974506

Drawbridge California the only ghost town in the San Franciso bay area. It has a rich history, part of which is outlined in this Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawbridge,_California

While only a small number of people are granted pedestrian access to Drawbridge, mostly railway and wildlife preserve workers, it can be safely accessed by any member of the public via three different train lines, as well as by kayak. Both factions have accessed this portal safely and legally using both methods. I am aware of no illegal accesses by Ingress players, and we have definitely not been creating problems with illegal access.

Drawbridge Town Hall qualifies as a location with a cool story and a place in history. It does not meet any of the disqualifying criteria listed in OPR (primary/secondary school, private residential property, obstructing emergency services, not-permanent, natural features.) For many locals it's been a Portal Gem-- we learned about the history of the town, the ecology, and the still-standing structures from the portal.

Both factions have discussed this and agree that the portal should be restored.

I still remember how everything seemed different after reading this book. 40 years after the book's publication, it is still mind-blowing

Closest feeling to the first year of a startup compressed into 1 week, and loads more fun!

+Lou Montulli have your heard of Meteor and DDP? Reading about it made me think of the protocol you conceived of for Chandler. http://meteor.com/blog/2012/03/21/introducing-ddp
