Got to talk to Ron and Gail Bennington about their new show GPS on Deep Tracks.
Scenes are a funny thing. Music has had countless different scenes bubble up over the years and spill their way in to the national spotlight, many of which are now spoken of in hushed tones of reverence. Others—most really—flicker out like a flare in the night sky. The psychedelic scene in the mid-to-late ’60s for instance, is …

So you can get this book I did on Kindle now. Actually you can get both of the books I did on Kindle now. With the holidays coming up I can't imagine a more impractical gift than giving someone a self published book about two obnoxious burnouts traveling through time to stop an outbreak. It could be a good gift for a co-worker you don't know anything about but pulled their name for a Secret Santa or maybe a stocking-stuffer for an uncle you don't like. A lot of writer's won't push for the spite buy, but I'm very ok with it.
You can probably tell I'm pretty good at promoting, so I'm not going to post a ton about this- if you would like to pick a copy up I'm very grateful. If not, you can always lie to me and tell me you did if we see each other out on the cocktail party circuit.

Last night's show- Tom stops by. The band forgets to call. I forget to log the show thus
no playlist. And the most depressing ending in the history of radio or internet.
Playlist later.
Until then, go forward, like Indiana Jones at the end of the Last Crusade, with a little faith, knowing that there are worse ways to distract yourself for four hours.
Mixcloud
Tom stops by the show and talks about being exposed to different music as he moved around the world and we play stuff from Local H, Nirvana, Screaming Females, Roger Harvey and more.

Thing I did on the Vinyl District for the new Bill Hicks release
Comedy has a long history on vinyl. The recording of comedy routines goes back before even vaudeville, much less before Netflix began pumping out a seemingly endless stream of comedy specials. Comedy albums were really the only outlet besides a nightclub to hear a comedian’s full set. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, albums …

Ron Bennington and Gail Bennington spend their days doing a comedy show but once a month, they take a side trip over to SiriusXM's Deep Tracks channel to talk seriously about music.

Hunter Valentine interview for the Vinyl District about their upcoming EP the Pledge and their tour So Long, For Now
The eve of a new release and tour is usually an exciting time for any band no matter how much success they’ve achieved in their career. Hunter Valentine is no different in that respect, however this time—after a decade of recording, tours, TV appearances, and anything else a band could hope for—it’s a little bittersweet. …

So I wrote this book a few years ago, put it away for a while, went back to it, edited off and on (mostly on) for the last two years and have finally decided it’s time to gently release it into the vicious wilderness of the internet. It’s pretty light stuff. Outbreaks. Secret Government Labs. Evil Corporations. Time travel. Chain smoking. But, you know, like in a fun way.

Anyway if you’re interested it’s available now in print and should be available by Wednesday (at the latest) on Kindle.

I attached the links below as well as a link to the Alexxcast where I talk to Alexx about putting it together and putting it out and about 700 other things.

This, along with notice when the Kindle Edition is up, will probably be the extent of my media blitz.

Of course I tend to lie. A lot.
