Every two months or so I remember that Google+ exists.
Here's a link to last night's radio program.
I thought it was pretty good.

Interview with Seaside Caves for The Vinyl District
The first time I heard Seaside Caves was on a compilation of Asbury Park bands called The Vinyl Heart. They stood out from the other guitar-oriented bands with their hypnotic groove—if the other bands were like waves crashing, Seaside Caves were more like the tide methodically rolling back. The influences of the 1980s are apparent …

Lauren Marsh puts up with me sounding near-death and accidentally cutting off one her songs. Plus she plays a few live in-studio.
Mixcloud
The Incredibly talented Lauren Marsh comes up to the show for an interview and performance and is very gracious as our we accidentally cut her song off in the middle. Plus if you like the sound of a chest cold your in luck, 4 hours of throat-creaking coming up.

Shaun Horgan stops by. A triple shot of Poison (Yes the band Posion. No it's not a regular thing. Yes I feel dirty about it. To be fair we kind of talk over the third song. And in full disclosure the 3rd CD I ever owned was Poison. 1 & 2? Dangerous by Michael Jackson & Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em. I understand if you stop listening to my show)
Some deep cuts, including Bonnie Tyler instrumental tracks from 1985's the Wrestling Album (we talk over those too).
A deep and detailed history of Axl Rose's dramatic breathing sounds on Use Your Illusion II.
A thorough guide to the vast and varied levels of NJ Cover Bands.
And of course- some really wonderful weather reads, none of which mention the word "snow".
Relive it all here
Mixcloud
Any show that starts with the 5th Dimension and ABBA and has three songs by Poison on it might scare some people off. And that's not even counting the four tracks off the Wrestling Album. Shaun Horgan reigns down hellfire and styles & profiles his way onto the show for the first time. We'll be talking about Wrestlemania, metal, probably Metallica specifically but probably some Megadeth and Pantera too, the 90's, the 80's and a few words ab...

Rare Show Plug - I'm actually plugging the show before it happens. Jay Burke comes up to talk about Star Wars, the Avengers, Batman video games, and the decline of the US Dollar and the effect it will have on future generations. Or at least 3 or the 4 of those things.
Plus music from Honah Lee, Suzi Chunk, Will Butler, Twin Shadow and other stuff.
We cork this bastard at 6pm and go til 10pm

Last night's show- the very confusing history of Love is Strange. The song, not the concept. An hour of sloppy transitions followed by three hours of transitions so smooth you would swear they were greased with butter. A big announcement. And music from Seaside Caves, Ded Rabbit, Twerps, 7 Year Bitch, My Morning Jacket, Will Butler, Devo, Alabama Shakes, Oingo Boingo and we celebrate the 30th anniversary of We Are the World by playing We Are the World and regurgitating some facts I read about the recording session in a Rolling Stone article at 2am the other night.
If all this sounds too good to be true, well raise your expectations my friends because it's all true. Tell your friends.

Show from a few weeks ago.
Mixcloud
I don't want to oversell it but it's going to be more fun than a Richard Nixon Piano Recital in the Rec Room of the White House at the height of Watergate. Tape your eyebrows down or they're going to get seared off.

Mixcloud
Miss Ida Blue and her band perform in Studio at the top of the show. Andrew Blumetti comes by for some nonsense and music from Nirvana, the Doors, Echo and the Bunnymen, Talking Heads, Devo, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Show from a few weeks ago with a Martha Davis interview, Altamont talk, and the usual nonsense. Pretty good one.
Mixcloud
Interview with Martha Davis from the Motels, poignant examinations of the Rolling Stones show at Altamont Speedway 46 years after the fact, and the usual roaring blend of nonsense, anxiety, jazz, rock, and passionate weather reads.
