Love love love! Great service, great food, magnificent beer! The atmosphere is really fun but keep in mind it is quite loud. They also offer guest beers from other local breweries. Try the Devil's on Horseback, the beer battered fish, and the pork chop!

I've been here a bunch of times. The food is pretty good, but a little expensive for a burger. The beer is great though. They brew their own. It's always noisy and crowded. You can take a walk down Haight Street after dinner.

Magnolia has an incredible location, but that's not all they have to offer. They have 5 cask taps and 15 or more pressurized taps. Tonight (December 2013), there were 4 different cask beers offered and many others. They have some beers that are almost always there - I love the Blue Bell Bitter on cask - but they definitely rotate. Additionally, this place has great food. I've been here several times, and it's always a good choice for a burger and a beer. Eating alone? Make your way to the bar or one of the communal tables and make new friends.

This is one of the best breweries in SF, and the only brewery where I regularly go for brunch! People knock on the food, but I think its great and usually not too crowded even on Sundays. As a Philadelphia native, anywhere that serves scrapple is a hero in my book! The scotch quail eggs appetizer is also insanely good. If nothing else, go there in the fall for the fresh hop ales and Rosebud, their seasonal gift to the world, and again in February for their strong beer month. The pints are a bit expensive, sure, but the fact that you can't get it anywhere else (and that its really really goood!) make it worth stopping in every once in a while.

Great for a bro brew brunch, although they do have mimosas too. My favorite thing there is the french toast, although I just had a dark brew paired with a bacon date scone that was to die. Indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of the haight.

I’m a beer snob. There I said it! Since Magnolia Gastropub & Brewery is located in the touristy Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco where the hippie movement is said to have started, I expected an Applebee’s type beer selection. If I’m faced with the typical, Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite, and Sam Adams choices for draft beers in a bar, I usually walk out or will order a water. So when I find a bar that has an excellent list of craft beers AND bartenders that are basically cicerones – I’m in heaven. Magnolia Gastropub & Brewery fits that bill and more. We were introduced to Magnolia by a local craft beer snob and friend, Standard Greg. Not only do they have several (up to 18) delicious, varied, and unique beers on draft – they also have a few on cask at any given time! As the icing on the cake – they brew most of the beer themselves (might be all, but I didn’t want to make an inaccurate blanket statement without proof!). Prices were more than reasonable for the quality of the food and beer and for the atmosphere and the knowledge shared. I’m sure it helped that we were with a regular and respected restaurant manager in the area, but the staff at Magnolia’s treated us like family and offered suggestions and samples. All were spot on and well-informed. I enjoyed the Magnolia Pub Burger with bacon and Gruyere and two dark stouts that were fantastic. If they bottled beer I would’ve taken pictures of the names to remember them, but since I know I can only get their beer at their Gastropub – it was futile. From what I understand, get there early for lunch or expect to have a 20-30 minute wait at any given time. It’s that good.
