The key skills missing are team building and collaboration skills. You might want to include persuasive speaking skills as well because you do a lot of convincing and selling your strategies up the ladder. The ability to integrate and explain how social fits into the marketing plan is critical.

SEO has become more complicated. Perhaps the only good advice is to do your best creating and sharing content that helps your audience and prospects become more successful in their work. They will link and share your content. Google will love you. You will get found. Quality leads will go up.

I think what is key is the guidance provided about how to do social correctly with as much transparency as possible and with careful sharing of results. I don't know that the general public can easily decipher medical research, but for those looking, the increase in physicians using social and posting to blogs might be a positive.

I think I need to know what I am actually doing on the Internet. Control of your data and the opportunity to sell that info back to advertisers or not, is something would give users some sense of control back. It might actually cut into the profit of Facebook and Twitter.

This comment made me laugh. Obviously, they don't live in the upper midwest - aka Wisconsin or Ohio. On the other hand, in Minnesota, they have the Fat Tire bikes out and for them, it is heating up to prime biking season.

While these numbers might be true on the surface, I think that some early adopters in the B2B space could effectively use both of these tools for recruiting and business leads since the competition is pretty sparse.

Just another reason to not post publicly anything that you would never want your grandmother, parents, friends, co-workers, boss, or competition to see. Clean up those profiles. Don't let others tag you in a picture without your review. If you post something including pictures about others, make sure it is complementary.
