When you want to make a dessert, but don't have the time to bake...
Pick up a Beaverton Bakery Angel Food Cake or Pound Loaf, slice it into individual pieces, and plate them. Grab some fresh seasonal fruit like berries or sliced peaches. Add a little sugar to help create a juice to to fruit. Spoon the fruit mixture over the Angel Food Cake or Pound Loaf. Top with a little whipped cream and YUM!

Welcoming the month of July we also welcome a new decade to honor in our 90th Anniversary celebration year! This month we the 1960s, a decade full of change both in the world and at our very own Beaverton Bakery. It was in 1965 when Charles Schubert purchased the bakery. He had worked at the bakery since 1952 and was ready to try his hand at running his own bakery.

It was also the year the Beaverton Bakery introduced Butter Crispies, made from puffed pastry rolled by hand topped with sugar and walnuts and baked daily.

Stop by this Saturday and take a tour of the bakery!  We will be celebrating the 1940s and the creation of Cinnamon Bread.

Our Cinnamon Bread is made from a recipe from Oregon City in 1945. It is still made “by hand” in our bakery today! Come visit the bakery from 11 am to 3 pm this Saturdays to see the timeless techniques still being practiced by our bakers today!
