If you are like me and cannot yet contain your excitement at having noticed that, possibly over the weekend, it seems Google has recently made available to those of us whom might be mere Google Apps "legacy" members, the means to enable and implement Single Sign-On relationships between their Google Apps/Cloud domain auth service and indeed any SAML-compliant clients or third-party providers… then you may want to take gander at the following PDF document, a guide which has turned out quite instrumental in me sorting through and past a vast expanse of incomplete or at-best, confusing documentation from the typical sources:
