Truly disappointed in the soup. It was very weak and was mostly water. It lacked flavor. I would never return to try this restaurant again. Possibly I was there when the soup had not cooked for a sufficient time or a change in a chef.

Lovely soup. Abrupt service. Owner needs to be nicer to customer. A smile would be nice.

Variable quality, some soups are great, some less so. Interesting idea and hugely poplar. They do much with a small space and now offer a great takeaway special for €3 (small vegetable soup, bread, fruit). My main quibble here is something unusual; it's the uniform and, in my experience habitual, lack of smiles behind the counter. Cheer up for heavens sake :-)

A regular haunt of mine. Great value and very tasty food. I'm a big fan of their Beef Chilli with rice. They've also started doing a range of salads and you you can't go wrong with their three scoops, bread and fruit for €3 (as at Aug '12). The premises is very small and gets very busy at lunch time. Don't be put off by the queue out the door it - tends to move very fast.

Great idea – a teensy little hole in the wall cafe that hoofs soup out to the city's workers every lunch time. Every bowl is accompanied by something nice – like a decent bread or piece of fruit and some of the soups are hearty enough; they do pretty substantial curries with rice, for instance. Its a bit of a disappointment, despite the soups always sounding interesting, that they're often a touch on the bland side.

The prices are really good and I like that you get a piece of fruit with everything. But on all three occasions I've been here, the girl behind the counter on all occasions was so blunt and so cold that I was taken aback. The soup is average. If you just walk a minute down the road, Brother Hubbard serves soup with a smile and quality. Makes such a difference.
