"Because marriage isn’t about that first moment – it’s about all the other moments that come after."

"You’ve got to learn what it means to spend the next 70-80 years of your life apologizing (even when you feel you shouldn’t have to), compromising (even when doing so doesn’t benefit you in the least), letting sh** go (especially if you’ve chosen to forgive, or know it’s not worth holding onto), knowing and admitting when you’re wrong (even when maybe you know in your heart you’re not). Be able to acknowledge there’s another important life force with feelings, thoughts and opinions that matter just as much as yours – especially during conflict (even when your blood is boiling like the Hulk)."

"And Gottman suggests that 70% of conflicts may never get resolved; they will continue to surface throughout the marriage (over and over). Knowing this alone should help couples feel less discouraged."

I'm just collecting/posting articles I find that touch on a blog post I'm wanting to write in the near future about truth and reality. And maybe a bit about the tv show Black Mirror too. :) I'm not totally sure I can believe that this article is truth. Or maybe I just really, really, really don't want to.

Either way, it brings up good questions that I plan to tackle soon.

"Morin: You’re offering a more perfect form of reality?
Yuichi: More ideal. More clean."

"Morin: What does the word “real” mean to you?
Yuichi: I believe the term “real” is misguided. Take Facebook, for example. Is that real? Even if the people in the pictures haven’t been paid, everything is curated to such an extent that it hardly matters."

Ha, I've always loved this post of mine for some reason. Even though it's an example of my failed DIY prowess.

I keep meaning to ALSO post about:
-how NOT to DIY repair the starter(?) on your own non-working fridge
-how TO DIY charge your drained camera battery with a 9-volt battery and some wire

Ha, someday. Someday I'll be as awesome at DIY as I really think I am deep down. :)

Does anyone remember this post of mine from a few months ago? I've been meaning to update it! I've used a few of these online groceries services several times now and have personal reviews to share! At some point when I have time (ahahahahaha! time!) I'm going to individually review Zaycon Fresh, Thrive Market, Azure Standard, and Grove Collaborative.

"When I have the time"...aka you'd been go and check out this list as-if for now because it might be awhile before I get the actual reviews up... :)
