Domilise's vs. Parkway Bakery & Tavern. A ways from the French Quarter, Domilise's is worth the drive. Especially if you're fans of Peyton/Eli Manning. As Bronco fans, we really enjoyed listening to stories of the many visits by the Manning family. To have a fair challenge, G went with the shrimp po' boy and R the hot sausage link. Both places were very enjoyable, with friendly & good staff. On the plate, G chose Parkway and R chose Domilise's. GandR calls it a tie, with both getting 4 stars.

Hands down the best shrimp po boy I've had in years. Highly recommend with the tartar sauce and horseradish.

Domilise's has a reputation for being one of the "go-to" stops in New Orleans for a poboy and they do not disappoint. They go with a little mustard on the roast beef which is a bit uncommon, but delicious. They really crank these sandwiches out too - so you won't be waiting long before your first bite.

Another New Orleans institution that make some of the best poboys in the world. This spot has an inconspicuous location uptown in a fairly residential neighborhood but don't let the looks fool you the food will not disappoint. Although I love seafood poboys at this joint I usually get the hot sausage or my absolute favorite, ROAST BEEF, smothered in some New Orleans Blue Plate mayonnaise that can neutralize the most sophisticated foodie. These could be the best poboys in town with excellent service and that old New Orleans charm. Lots of great memorabilia around the place and it's rumored to be the Manning's favorite spot for a bite!

Great NOLA po-boys and cold beer served in icey mugs. Be prepared to wait in line but it's well worth it.

Absolutely the worst Roast beef Poboy in the city. Definitely not what the founders intended. I'm sorry to see this iconic place of my childhood sink to this standard...
