Been one of my favourite pubs in Angel for a while now, but had my first Sunday lunch there recently and it was really poor. May have just been a one off, but would recommend it for the cocktails and the happy hour but not so much based on their Sunday roast.

The only bad thing about this place is that it is too close too work and the temptation of cake is just too strong! They bake exceptional quality cakes and brownies and have a great selection of fresh hot dishes available at lunch time. My recommendations - carrot cake, fudge packed brownie and ham & cheese tiger roll (not just any cheese and ham sandwich!)

One of London's best new bars with views that are hard to beat. Situated on top of the ME London Hotel on Aldwych and accessed through a dedicated entrance you are whisked up to the roof and greeted by view over the South Bank. For the location, the drinks are quite reasonable. My advice, get their early, grab a seat (if you can) and hunker down for sunset.

Simply the best Indian takeaway I have ever had and gutted they don't deliver to our new house! All the dishes are fresh, tasty and avoid the gloopiness (!!) that can plague many Indian takeaways. I recommend the Chicken Jalfezi (the best I have ever had) and the paneer tikka.

Fantastic gelato shop just off Borough Market - some of the creamiest gelato I have tried and made even better by the liquid chocolate they fill the bottom of the cone or cup with. Would recommend the tiramasu and peanut butter flavour

One of my top recommendations for people visiting London and although it is not as cheap as it used to be, there are some greater sellers who know their stuff and stock fantastic qualities produce and product. Get there early to avoid the crowds and get your Monmouth Coffee in

Dancing staff, cocktails with dry ice, karaoke - you are even going to love it or hate it but Bunga Bunga isn't for a quiet drink. Before it all kicks off late in the evening they serve some great (and potenitally) very large pizzas. Not the one for beer drinkers with the options very limited, but if a cocktail served in something shaped like the leaning tower of Pisa (or Mario Balloteli!) with dry ice pouring out of it is your tipple of choice you are on to a winner!
