Originally built in 1929, our historic luxury hotel was restored using black-and-white photographs from the 1930s. The photos were used to duplicate entire rooms, down to the detailing in the draperies, murals, and even carpeting.

You never know what hidden gems you might stumble across in our historic hotel. The breathtaking Spanish Tea Court was inspired by the era of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella and decorated with Spanish Majolica tile. Photo via @crgshprg.

Location is amazing & booked on Priceline so I got a smoking deal on the room. The doormen & bellhop were great. However, when we got to our room I was really disappointed that I got a view of the top of the hotel entrance. We got double beds, I thought we were getting queen beds, apparently that's not a standard thing yet. But overall, it's a great hotel and I'd stay here again.

I took my wife to Chicago for our anniversary! Our stay at the InterContinental was exceptional. Beautiful rooms and amazing customer service. Hassan at the front desk took special care of us and our reservations. I truly appreciate it. Cheers.

The hotel was nice but a few things made our stay less than enjoyable. We tried to go to dinner at the Michael Jordan steakhouse but were told it was open seating only. We tried to ask to be put on a list as we had a toddler. There was nothing we could so expect wait around awkwardly. We had to order room service instead which took forever. The room had a small fridge, but with no room for leftovers. So after spending 120 dollars on a few burgers and drinks, anything left over was tossed. And the end of the trip, we were charged double for everything. It's been a week and still no deposit from the Hotel. Won't be staying there again.

If any of you are looking for really good hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. This has been the worst birthday weekend of my life. I lost 400 dollars because someone told me something that wasn't true at all. Firsty I got there and was told by the woman that there were only twin beds in the first tower. Which made no sense because two weeks ago I made the reservation for a king. Anyways. I asked how much extra it would be to move to the other tower, she told me they had no kings either. Ok. I take the double, go to my room and was very disappointed. It looked like a 40 $ motel certainly not a 300 $ hotel. I go downstairs ask to just complete cancel my room. The man was very nice and eager for me to stay. He said he would upgrade me to the other tower free of charge in a KING size bed. Mind you the lady lied to me. I still didn't really want the room and he said and I quote "the minibar is open and free" Now I asked him again to verify I heard what he said and he repeated. I knew how expense minibars were so i was just happy to see how eager they were to please their customer. He then repeated to ask us if we wanted to stay and weren't going to complain. I said yes. So we use up the minibar I go to check out the next morning and they tell me they never authorize free minibar and end up charging me the 400 $. Leaving me completely and utterly broke. I work very hard for my money and to enjoy this one weekend of the year and completely got ripped off. I left this hotel in tears.

Loved it last year and am going again in 4 weeks. Extremely helpful staff and free upgrade of room and 2 free breakfasts,4 free drinks at the bar and 2 free Starbucks because of a leak outside our room which didn't even affect us.
