Recommended Exhibition: Fragile Waters at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. I'd been wanting to check out this exhibition since March and finally got the chance with a visit yesterday to the U.S. Passport Agency in downtown San Diego. It's the most unusual exhibition I have seen due to its housing on two levels of the circa-1898 'Berkeley' steam ferry! Brooks's work was incredible and there were numerous Ansel prints which I had never seen before despite having been to many AA exhibitions over the years. This was my introduction to the work of Dorothy Kerper Monnelly; hers were not my favorite in the exhibition but she had a few pieces which I really enjoyed. The exhibition is curated by Adams’ daughter-in-law, Jeanne Falk Adams (which is likely why we get to see some unusual AA prints). You've got about three weeks left to see the exhibit. $16 buys you entrance to the exhibition and entrance to all the ships in the Maritime Museum. Check it out...

A handful of my photographs and a quote have been published in the following piece opposing the highly controversial Soda Mountain Solar energy proposal. I hope you will help me and National Parks Conservation Association to fight against this shameful proposal! MUCH more information and links to additional articles can be found on my blog: https://michaelegordon.wordpress.com/2014/01/07/stop-the-proposed-soda-mountain-solar-project/

My Visionary Death Valley workshops (with +Guy Tal) are selling out and generating wait lists much faster than I would have ever anticipated. Feb 2015 was sold out, December 2015 is sold out, and only THREE spaces remain in our February 2016 edition. Act now while your seat remains! Our dates are chosen to take advantage of winter's magical light and storm (as seen in the attached photo). I hope you can join us!

You'll love this video if you have been with me in Death Valley on workshops/tours and have lodged at +Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel. It has become my home away from home, and this video features the many friends and employees who work and reside in the Village. What a cool video and great score! https://vimeo.com/119025741

From the archives....Zion National Park.

Have you reserved your space in the 12th Annual Moab Photo Symposiumhttp://moabphotosym.com/  My Saturday workshop is now sold out; spaces remain in Friday's. It's arguable whether I'm worth listening to, but I'll suggest that you not miss the presentations by Charles Cramer, +Guy Tal, +Chuck Kimmerle, Bruce Hucko, and Colleen Miniuk-Sperry. See you there!
