"I'm Not Dead." --John Young as "The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't" in /Monthy Python and the Holy Grail/

And I'll likely be migrating this way.

Time to finally give up one Evil Digital Overlord (FB) for another Evil Digital Overlord (G+).

Aaaaand, I'm back to reading Swami Vivekananda's Raja Yoga... Do the work you love; love the work you do.

Yes, I'm alive. Many months running, I've been swallowed alive by my latest project -- Programming Manager for -- More news when I have time to actually say more. That is all, for now. I'm busy. Too busy. But I'm loving it.

For my friends who were there, and for those of us who couldn't make it.
Burning Man like you've never seen it!

I love tilt-shift photography and video. This video was taken at Burning Man 2011, and the whole thing was created by James Cole, Jason Phipps and Byron Mason.

(Make sure you crank up the resolution to at least 720!)

Excellent single topic movie.

A good chart helps put things in perspective. Yes, it's that bad.
One more political post for the day before we get back to the fun stuff.

I've heard a lot of people saying, "I don't care about the protests because they don't affect me personally."

That's true. You may have a job right now. Things may be fine for you right now. You may not care about your neighbor.

But take a look at this graph. How many years do you want this to go on, and what do you think are the odds you will be personally affected before this is over?

Would you rather speak up for more regulation before you lose your job, or after?

What frustrates me most about G+ is continually finding awesome new people who are, technically, afoul of the G+ name policy, yet are awesome people regardless of their nym. (At the same time, G+ officially accommodates celebrities that run afoul of the G+ name policy. But the "average" nym is punished?) Really, Google... Please... Stop being evil.
