My husband and I LOVE this bakery. We drive over an hour for a yummy croissant for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and pick up something for dessert for later. The line is usually pretty long, but it is so worth the wait. Everything is made fresh everyday and the variety of fresh baked bread is unbelievable. My favorites are the tomato basil sandwich and the berry tart. Treat yourself and stop by!

Croissants from this place is unbeatable! Just like eating croissants from France which no where in Boston has it. I love croissants from France so much that I was worried that I would have my cousin from France bringing croissants to Boston when she came for a visit! Truly those were the BEST there! However, Maison Villate stands at its BEST position in MA. Tasted many croissants from many bakeries in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Sommerville etc., or any bakeries in New England... but I only bought croissants, in the 20 to 40 counts for my families, at Maison Villate each time and many times I have visited M.V. since I discovered them 3 years ago. And of course, their customer service is excellent despite of the long line of waiting. To conclude, this place don't just get 5 stars from my review but an additional 'star plus' !

Walking into this place feels like walking into a bakery in Europe. The bread is head and shoulders above super market bakery bread. I've never had a bad experience here!

Really cute place right in the thick of the town with lots of great sweet and savoury options. Not cheap, hence the rating, but perfect for a treat every now and then.

The breads and pastries are better than many of the patisseries I visited in France! The pain au chocolate is amazing, as re are the cookies, tartes, and .....! Boris and his staff are friendly and welcoming. I love this place!

I find it ridiculous that they were given less than 5 stars. The people that work there are extremely nice and willing to explain what everything is that you are interested in trying. The food alone should be given a 10 out of 5 stars. Everything is fresh and tastes amazing. I only wished it was closer to my house in Connecticut.
