Online Threats:
Often people use the term "Virus" for any suspicious behaviour on their computer. Here we explain some of terms used by professionals in easy way:

♦ Malicious Software: any small software including viruses, Trojans, adware, keyloggers or other harmful software to damage or destroy user's data or stealing sensitive information from computers called Malicious Software.

♦ Viruses and Worms: viruses require an active program or an infected operating system run and infect other software and documents but worms are stand-alone malicious software that can self-replicate and spread in networks, without any help.

♦ Trojans: is a type of malware that is often disguised as legitimate software. It is used to hack into a computer by misleading users of its true intent. Users are typically tricked into loading and executing Trojans on their systems. Once activated, Trojans can enable cyber-criminals to spy on you, steal your sensitive data, and gain backdoor access to your system.

♦ Keyloggers: a small software to record every keystroke made by users, especially in order to gain fraudulent access to passwords and other confidential information.

♦ Adware:Adware is a software that displays unwanted ads when a user is online. It collects marketing data without the user's knowledge or redirects search requests to certain advertising websites.

♦ Spams and Fishing: spam is a junk mail sent in mass to users. It can potentially be very dangerous if it is part of a larger phishing scam. Phishing scams are usually acting as legitimate companies or organizations in order to obtain sensitive information such as passwords and login credentials.

We put used furniture online for sale. Received an email that someone is interested and will pay by Paypal and someone will collect it the same day. The sender claimed to be a disable person who needs this furniture for a family member. Then I received an email from Paypal saying someone has paid 4 times more than what we asked for but we will need to go to post office and pay some of that money to the carrier company to collect it. I got suspicious and had a close look at th...e email details. IT WAS NOT FROM PAYPAL system and it was a scam. Trying to make me pay some of the money that I had not received it, to a person in Cyprus to collect the furniture from UK.
Wrong target smile emoticon
Last but not least: if you receive any email from Paypal, make sure that you check your paypal account directly (not by clicking on the provided link) and if it is a scam, report it to paypal on

Shall I upgrade to Windows 10???
This is the question I get by email and phone in the last few weeks. My advice is to wait for few months. I have already seen few customers upgrading to windows 10 and their computer does not work as usual.
1- If your system is older than a year (windows 7, 8 or 8.1), I do not recommend you to upgrade.
2- If your system is less than a year old, it might be fine with windows 10, but be prepared for unexpected issues. Backup your data, make you have a fast internet as it is 3Gb update, some of your third party software may not respond, and you will need to learn new features on Windows 10.
