Just sharing this Event post so I can make the Comment Tracker work. This will be a private HOA Event.
Hello Hangout Mastery members... This is just for you. Special Note below..."Read More" The full details on doing Mobile HOA activity as learned from our recent efforts at SXSW2014. If you are not a member, watch the Public HOA here ► http://goo.gl/VIhzr3 If you are a member, I suggest you watch the Public one and this one if you can.

Please be sure that you are only signed in with your Mastery account. viewing the private HOA video live has been known to have issues if you are signed into YouTube with another account or Google+ with another account other than the one you use while inside the Hangout Mastery Community.

Feel free to ask questions here in the Public Event, but please realize that they will be seen by the Public. We are using this format since it allows us to bring your questions/comments onto the screen of the video via the Comment Tracker (my fav. way to interact with a larger crowd).

I've turned off the ability for Guests to invite others, or re-share this event.

Private HOA showing How 22Social Brings HOA to Facebook
Here's the Facebook post: www.22s.com/thehangouthelper/22socialhoa .
The Hangout Mastery has a special treat in that 22Social's creator +Rene Banuelos will be showing us the powerful Facebook tool that shows off the wonders of Hangouts on Air to your followers on Facebook.

This is a fantastic tool to bridge the divide between the 2 largest Social Networks. Members of the Hangout Mastery should Only sign in with the Google+ ID that they use for the Hangout Mastery Community in order to see the training live as it will be a private HOA broadcast.

There will be a follow-up Public Training event on this powerful tool after the members only session. Check out a Facebook Page I made using this tool here: http://www.22s.com/thehangouthelper/basics

Load up this event with questions and we'll see if we can integrate them into the training/demonstration. Members can watch live and after the show on the membership site. We made this a Public event so the comment tracker can bring in the questions/comments from the event here.

If you are not a member of the Hangout Mastery and would like to check it out, visit bit.ly/HangoutMastery for details.

resharing here to allow comment tracker to work. This is a Members only session. Thanks.
This will be a members only Q&A session and will contain a private HOA in the event. If you are a current member you will be authorized to view the video. Please be sure that you are not signed in with any other account/ID than the one you use for the Hangout Mastery G+ Community, as that will be the only account that is authorized to view the session.

The event has been created as a Public event because that is needed for the Comment Tracker to work. We'll be using the comment tracker to display questions from those participating but are not in the filmstrip.

If you are wanting to become a paid member of the Hangout Mastery group, you are welcome to join us... get started here bit.ly/HangoutMastery
Currently the cost for membership is $37/month paid on a monthly basis, cancel at any time.

Sharing this so that the tech side of things work... this is a Private HOA event (even though the event itself, is public)
This will be a private training session for Hangout Mastery members covering the pros and cons of the 2 ways we can schedule HOA events from Google Plus. Questions in the Comments will be publicly visible - answers will be provided in the live video feed which will Privately visible for members only.

Join in the learning by signing up for the Hangout Mastery membership. Check it out at www.bit.ly/HangoutMastery Signup to Keep up.

Any thoughts on this idea?
Community Hangouts... Pushing the Limits (just a bit)
Community Tips

By now you are probably aware that your Google Plus Community (GPC) can have its very own Hangout. I think they are very cool... and work great for smaller GPCs.

They are currently limited to 10 people and are not the HOA kind, so if an 11th person wants in, they can't join in or see what's going on until someone else 'leaves the filmstrip' and opens up a 'seat'.

I recently posted about a change I noticed about GPC Hangouts. If there is a GPC Hangout going on, and you were in that same GPC, you can try to join the existing one in progress or start a new hangout. http://goo.gl/hxfSR

That post had a few comments/questions re. the concept and one of them from +Paul Simbeck-Hampson got me thinking... he may have meant it a different way but what I got out of it is a cool idea to Push the Limits of GPC Hangouts a bit.

Here's the idea...
What if I started a GPC and therefore most of the members knew me... And I was going to have a hangout inside it, but more than 9 others wanted to join in? How could I make that work so up to 18 other people that wanted in, coud be inside to discuss the latest thing? (can anyone say 'Master Class' concept?)

Here's what I came up with:
If I have 2 Computers (read: 2 cameras), I can start one GPC Hangout with computer A, and then with Computer B, look for the 'Start a New Hangout' option and start Hangout No. 2 with Computer B.

Maybe I name them "GPC Hangout A" & "GPC Hangout B" (original, eh?).

The net result is I am inside 2 different GPC Hangouts and 9 other people can join into each of the other active Hangouts happening inside the GPC = 18 Guests Plus me. Now that's a Plus!

I'd want to be sure that my Internet connection could handle the strain, but I think it could work. I may have some issues with Audio from me but I'm willing to test that out sometime to see what needs to be done to eliminate extra echo or feedback. Maybe I'd use a headset on Computer A and use the built-in mic/speakers for Computer B... Just Sayin' ㋡

What do you think?
Do you think it could work?

Test it out and let me know if it works for you!
Share this into the various GPC Hangout Communities and let's give it a go.

Hangouts & Collaboration / Hangouts & Presentations... 3-part HOA Video series culminating in a Google+ HOA Live Event featuring YOU / your Q & A.
Hangouts and the Google Drive Presentations Tool
Presentations and Hangouts

This 12 minute video covers using Google Drive and the Presentation tool. We show briefly how to collaborate within the hangout and then the best way to make guided presentations while still using a Hangout or HOA & the GDrive Presentation tool.

Attached is video No. 2 in the series of 3 videos.
The first one: http://goo.gl/FLQuj covered the details of GDrive Docs and Collaboration from within a hangout. We demonstrated that they were not the best choice for Guided Presentations but were a great choice for Collaborative Document Creation.

The third and final video in the mini-series will be part of the Live Interactive Event offered by myself and +Trevor Beck. The Live Event address further details not covered in the video below. It will address other questions & comments asked of us in these 2 video postings as well as from comments inside the Google Plus Event: http://goo.gl/gml0y ... (be sure to attend and add your comments/questions to the list).

**Presentation Tool Setup for Guided Presentations**
Here are the steps to follow as presented in the video to have a successful guided presentation while inside a Hangout or recording a HOA video.

Setup before starting your hangout:
1. From Google Drive (not the Google Drive for Hangouts tool) open your presentation document (typically will open in a new tab).
2. Move new tab (Presentation) into a new browser window.
3. Using the dropdown menu (Present) in the upper right, select “Present with Speaker Notes”.
4. Resize the presentation window to remove any black bars (optional).

Once the hangout has started and you’re ready to give your presentation:
1. Select Screenshare App from within the Hangout window.
2. Select the presentation browser window to share.
3. Use the speaker notes window to drive the presentation forward by clicking on the thumbnail for the next slide.

Extra tip: While in a HOA - remember that if only one camera is active, you are 'hiding the filmstrip' and the video will show to the 'outside' in Full screen mode.

Note: if you want to be able to present your slides and surf the web from the same screenshared window, make sure you have the document in a separate window first (the first Step 1). Then select Present with Speaker Notes.
