Alright ye lads & lass's, tonight is Trad night once again. Every Tuesday we turn this place into a real Irish Pub. It's why we teach you Irish Slang every Monday. That way, you're not embarrassed by your inability to speak like a real Irishman. Beer buckets on sales as always and the bangers are pipin' hot. See y'all tonight.

Great Irish Movies #9 - 'Philomena' (2013). In what might make a good double feature with "The Magdalene Sisters," here's the based-in-fact story of a girl forced by the Church to give up her out-of-wedlock child for adoption. Years later, as an old woman (Judi Dench), she's aided by a reporter (Steve Coogan, in a rare dramatic role) in her search for her long-since-grown child. Heartbreaking but far from maudlin. Here is a clip of Judy Dench in one of her greatest performances. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbrs9sULf-A

Tonight on MNF we have the Colts vs. the Tennessee Titans. No Texas team tonight, but then again we do have a southern team playing a yankee team. And that does make things interesting. Drink the coldest beer in Lakeway. $12 domestic beer buckets / $14 craft beer buckets. Have a bucket and a banger sandwich. You'll be in "Craic City". See y'all tonight!

No game for Notre Dame today. As you can see in the attached pics, this is a Domer bye-week. But that should not stop you from getting together today at the pub and have a cold one. There are other games on and if you look at the schedule below you can do your own scouting report while having that cocktail and emailing Brian Kelly your suggestions for game plans. Come on by and we'll fire up the Skype for you. He's waiting on today's call...

Remember, tonight is Karaoke night. It is a night to sing and be happy. No Morrisey songs. After all, as great as the man is, someone may actually be inspired enough to go into the bathroom and hang their self. Not good to be tripping over a body while hurrying to the mic when Raden calls your name. It's just bad form. Same thing for Barry Manilow songs. It's not the fear of self harm, their just bad. Oh, remember to ask about drink specials and to tip your KJ and Bartender. See you tonight!

All Time Greatest Packers #23 - LeRoy Butler. LeRoy Butler was named All-Pro four times and was also named to four Pro Bowl squads. Butler had 38 career interceptions, plus 20.5 sacks as well. It is Butler who is credited with inventing the "Lambeau Leap" when he scored a TD after getting a lateral from Reggie White, who had recovered a fumble, ironically forced by Butler. Butler was named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade team. Butler played on one Super Bowl champion.
LeRoy is also in the Packer Hall of Fame. Below is the highlight of the VERY FIRST Lambeau Leap! http://ow.ly/ul5H30fRhQB

Greatest Irish American Athletes - Jason Kidd. Like Derek Jeter, by virtue of his mother’s Irish-American background, Jason Kidd earns a spot on our greatest Irish American athletes. It doesn’t hurt that he attended St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California, helps.

When it’s all said and done, Kidd will be regarded as one of basketball’s greatest pure point guards—from high school to college to the NBA and in international competition. The man can flat-out pass the ball like nobody’s business.

Kidd’s best St. Patrick’s Day performance came on March 17th, 1997 as a member of the Phoenix Suns, when he came off the bench and dropped 33 points on 12-of-16 shooting, including 8-of-9 from three-point land, to go with six assists, in a victory for his hometown team Golden State Warriors. http://ow.ly/eDMf30fN7tS
