This time last year I was in a desert. It was the first anniversary of my mom’s passing, and only five months after my step-mom’s passing, who lived in Mississippi with my dad. I did not want to do Christmas. At 8...

I was frustrated…with God. Downright irritated. I know. Who am I to be frustrated with our sovereign, Heavenly Father? In my tired and weepy state, I approached His throne; not in humility and reverence, but with ...

Today is Giving Tuesday. Help single moms and their children by giving to our Spring Ministries GiveSendGo campaign. We're a 501c3 charitable ministry helping single moms become stable and self-sufficient.
I was surrounded by a lush, tropical paradise. An exhausted single mom, sitting in a rocking chair on a covered porch of a poolside out-building at a Disney resort. My children played safely close by, while I soaked it all in. We'd been given a trip to Disney World for Christmas and were finally...

Let's be real.
I learned at an early age how to bury emotions and pretend things didn’t bother or hurt me. What I portrayed to my peers, was only what I wanted them to see. These pretensions followed me throughout my teen years into adultho...

Tagline
A married writer, songwriter, thinker (too much), loves the outdoors. Founder of Spring Ministries, Inc., a single parent ministry.
Introduction
Terri's writing began in the middle of her journey as a single mom. She poured out in the pages of her private journals to cope with the struggles and triumphs she experienced. What began as a writing secret to ease her pain, turned into a passion for writing to single moms.

She completed her first book in a series, "Markers for Single Moms: Finding God's Direction in the Chaos," and is nearing completion of a 2nd one, "Prayer Markers for Single Moms: When All Seems Lost." She wrote and composed "When All Seems Lost" performed by Sara Oliver, which is the inspiration for Prayer Markers. The song is available on iTunes, Google Play and most major music stores.

In 2011, Terri founded Spring Ministries, Inc., a single parent ministry. A housing ministry will be opening Spring 2015.

Terri is published with Chicken Soup for the Soul and has written numerous feature articles for a local newspaper.
