Car and Truck glass has always been a challenge to effectively recycle back to its component parts, glass, PVB, rubber and metals. Krysteline Technologies has developed a system capable of processing car and truck windshields or laminated commercial glass. Each screen is initially shredded in to 30mm chips, an Imploder segregates the glass from other components. High intensity magnets remove the non ferrous metals while density separation extract rubber and plastic. PVB is recovered through a closed loop separation circuit. Glass can be returned to screen manufacturers or alternatively refined to create sands and powders for alternative markets #krysteline.com

Metal contamination of MRF derived glass challenges technology and reduces product quality.

As the uses for glass outside of the traditional Cullet marketplace gain traction, consistency and product quality are imperative in providing long term viable markets for glass traditionally discarded due to contamination.

Feed stock diversity prevents a single magnet solution for metal extraction, Krysteline Technologies has been testing and developing a multi magnet solution utilizing high intensity drums for stainless, tungsten, neodymium pot magnets and ferrous.
