A bed for Mr. Penguin
In the long standing tradition at our house that every doll and stuffed animal is supposed to have its own sleeping accommodations, my son asked me to make a bed for Mr. Penguin.  Mr. Penguin is...well, I'm not sure what he is exactly, though he certainly d...

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - the beach in January
As we've been enjoying a string of very cold but sunny days, last weekend we went to the beach.  Truth be told, we were all bundled up and even then we couldn't stay for long because of the bitter wind, but it was our first visit to the ocean in 2017. Happy...

Easy one bowl shrimp farfalle
This one bowl shrimp farfalle is very quick and easy to make, and it's also a perfect lunch alternative to pack and bring to the office.  Ingredients:  150 grams of farfalle (or any other pasta you prefer) 200 grams of shelled shrimp (I usually buy frozen) ...

Teresa's Collections

Hello, I'm Teresa and I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm married, with two children, and live in Portugal, between the river and the sea, and I love long walks in the beach, even in the winter. I also love all things handmade and homemade and I'm always trying to come up with the perfect handmade gifts for everyone!

I enjoy working with felt, crochet and cross-stitch (though I have several unfinished projects waiting for brighter days). Recently I've also re-started knitting, after more than 20 years of not touching knitting needles.

I blog about all of this in my Keeping it Real blog, with some recipes and other general tips thrown in once in a while.

Recently I've started another blog, all about books. Reading is another of my hobbies, so I wanted to share my passion and my opinions about the books I read. If book reviews and books in general interest you, the door is open at The Bookworm.

Thank you for visiting!
