My favorite status / photo / checkin app, Path, just released a huge 3.0 update Especially cool are the many image filters it has now -- far better than Instagram. If you have an iPhone, try this app today.

There's a new CMS that was released as a public beta yesterday, called Craft.

It's targeted for those of you used to mid-level, locally installable tools like Drupal and ExpressionEngine, especially if you like to start with a blank slate of content and HTML.

It uses Twig as the templating language and the Yii PHP framework as the base code, and it's written by one of the top ExpressionEngine add-on developers.  This is getting interesting!

Amanda Palmer, an alt-rock musician, raised $1.2 million on Kickstarter for her new album .. just by asking. Here's her Ted talk about why music could (should?) be free and how fear and trust operate in the age of social media. Really worth a viewing.
