Easily add music to your kitchen, bedroom, study, bathroom etc. This tiny wall mount amplifier fits into a standard UK two gang pattress and provides a powerful 20W RMS per channel. In operation it really couldn't be any easier. When you want to use it simply connect via Bluetooth and control the volume via your bluetooth device. When you disconnect or stop streaming the amplifier automatically switches into very low power standby mode. Great audio quality is assured with APTX ATRAC codes.

We finished machining the cases today for the new KIRACC Contact Closure. This small module offers a lot of functionality:

*IR over IP – either real time IR receive/transmit over IP used in conjunction with another KIRA module, or use IP control to blast any of the 150 IR codes stored in the on-board memory

*Built in Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability

*20 macro commands, each up to 30 steps

*Two IR emitter outputs, individually routable

*Two isolated relay contacts, each rated 48V 6A. Relays can be set to open, close or pulse with configurable timings.

*RS232 output that can be used as an RS232 / TCPIP bridge, or RS232 strings can be stored into on-board memory and triggered by IP from an app or as part of a macro.

*Built-in dedicated high accuracy IR code learning receiver.

We're still finalising the firmware but we hope to start shipping them in June. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more.

Another option for AV integrators, the IR to I/O Controller from Keene. This device this utilises the ability of a Sky receiver to be controlled via its 10 pin I/O link port and provides a “hardwired” in cabinet control solution. Instead of affixing an IR emitter directly to the receiver front panel you can now connect the IR output from any IR Distribution amplifier or Blaster output directly to the I/O Controller which in turn sends the correct signal to the receiver via the I/O port. Gives 100% reliable results and is invaluable in preventing cross talk in multi-receiver installations.

The I/O Controller input is opto-isolated so can be connected to the IR output from either any Keene IR Distribution Amplifier or any other manufacturers device that has an IR Blaster output.

Another useful product from Keene, IR Emitter Shields. These flexible rubber covers enclose the IR emitter to prevent IR signals from interfering with other equipment. They can be used with all Keene and most other manufacturers IR Emitters. In stock now!

We're thinking about releasing a firmware for the KIRA128 which would have an embedded image (and codes) for SKY HD. This would replace the exising "mobile browser" buttons page with the SKy remote image. The graphics size means that the available memory for code storage would be reduced a little. There should be enough for all the Sky buttons plus about 20 more for your TV / switcher. This would be a free firmware option for all existing 128 users. What do you think - useful or not?
